If KKR can acquire CVC’s stake, it will trigger a mandatory open offer for an additional 26% stake owned by public shareholders. The Indian hospital sector has turned out to be a goldmine for KKR, with the private equity firm making a $2 billion exit from Max Healthcare in 2022, five times the capital it invested in the hospital chain in 2018. Rohit Krishna wanted nothing but to break into the PE/VC world, after he qualified as a CA in 2011. Unfortunately, many funds turned him down for being too young. Fast forward to 2017 – he co-launched WEH Ventures with a Fund 1 of ₹20 Crores. It wasn't exactly easy to convince the investors. Lending Firm "Fibe" raises 90 million dollars in funding led by TR Capital. It is a Pune-based consumer lending startup, that was previously known as EarlySalary. The round saw participation from Hong Kong-based TR Capital which pumped in around $32 million to acquire a mix of secondary and primary shares, along with Trifecta Capital and Amara Partners. Fibe founder Akshay Mehrotra did not comment on the valuation of the company after this deal. People in the know pegged the post-money valuation at more than $500 million. According to data shared by the company, it closed FY24 with revenue of nearly Rs 1,000 crore against Rs 429 crore in FY23. Net profit nearly tripled to around Rs 100 crore from Rs 36 crore. 🚀 India's IPO Market is Booming: Key Information for Investors! India's IPO market is on fire in 2024, with September marking a surge in activity as 41 companies filed offer documents with SEBI. Great way and impressive one 👍 Kamath brothers-led stock broking giant Zerodha has once again reported a significant surge in both revenue and profit for the fiscal year 2024 (FY24). The company's revenue saw a 21% increase, rising from Rs 6,875 crore to Rs 8,320 crore. Likewise, Zerodha posted an impressive 62% jump in profits, growing from Rs 2,907 crore to Rs 4,700 crore. While Zerodha has lost its position as India’s top stock broker to VC-funded Groww, which now boasts a user base of 1.2 crore active investors according to NSE data, it remains the largest discount broker by both revenue and profit. "We continued our tremendous financial track record, and FY 23/24 was a fabulous year in terms of both revenues and profitability.
