Three tough(er) months coming up for SDRs. As we head into the summer quarter of June-August, getting hold of prospects and securing time on their calendar is that little bit harder than usual. Three tips to help keep you on track for quota 1) Ramp your activity You might struggle getting in touch with prospects so adding extra touches and extra prospects will increase your chances. 2) Monitor OOO You'll probably get more out of office replies to emails. Track the dates they return and schedule calls for that day. You'll often find mobile numbers hidden there too ;) 3) Minimise no-shows Best outcome is to schedule the meeting for the next 48 hours. If you have to book outside that window that fine, just make sure you nurture with a couple of relevant touches. Send an ebook or video etc, comment on some of their LinkedIn content. Bonus tip AEs sending a personalised video to the prospect 24 hours before is a great way to increase engagement and help boost show rates. Three months can feel like a long time but with some preparation you can set yourself up for success.

As an SDR/BDR, one of the best things you can do for your results is... carving out 30 minutes a day to get better at your craft. 👉 Read a sales book. 👉 Listen to a podcast. 👉 Review your calls or emails. It doesn’t have to be complicated—just consistent. A little progress every day adds up. Block the time. Stick to it. Watch the results follow.

Yesterday I read a post by Gabrielle “GB” Blackwell about how some AE's question why they would help their BDR with prospecting.. This one hit home for me since I started as a BDR almost 3 years ago and I know I was very very lucky with whom I got partnered to. I fully believe I wouldn't be where I am today (3 promo's later) without their help and support. Thank you Greg Hamik Cameron Nielsen for your support and coaching me when I first got into tech as a BDR, I appreciate you both. What did they do to support me? - Weekly meetings to strategize on outbound outreach (15-30 minutes) - Excel spreadsheets where we would stay connected on outbound messaging, who we were targeting, why we were targeting them, and the next steps within each strategy At the end of the day, if you're not investing in your BDR's success, you're failing yourself.. it's as simple as that. Your BDR isn't just a lead generator, they're your Pipeline Partner. The more you coach, guide, and support them, the better your own numbers look. Imagine what would happen if you actually took the time to coach your BDR and they helped generate 2-3x the pipeline that you have 🚀

If you’re an SDR Invest in your AE/SDR relationship Understand their goals, what accounts they like, and how they prioritize accounts, etc. Learn from them Work hard for them Help them as much as you can Few relationships are more important to your success in the role and at the company.

Summer months are tough for SDRs Prospects take A/L. Reps take A/L. It feels like you have fewer days to work with. Here’s what I do: Look through past Closed-Won cases. Look at the titles/ICP that moved the needle. Build a list of that ICP. Put them into a call-only sequence for one day. This is why: Your talk track will be the exact same, every convo. The pains they’re familiar with, will likely be the same. You’ll also become familiar with talking with that ICP. Learn & mirror the language they use. I do this on days towards the end of the month. Get those dials lined up. P.S - How many times a week do you cold-call?

The SDR role is evolving before our eyes. They’re now operating in a new landscape, Driven by rapid technological advances, demographic shifts, and changing customer behaviors. In my opinion, SDRs have never been more crucial than they are now. They are no longer just prospecting machines. They're customer success ambassadors, content creators, and social networkers - all wrapped into one. It's a much more challenging role these days. But it's also much more rewarding. Guide for BDR holiday down time 🌴: All the to dos that day-to-day I find get pushed to the bottom and ideas to hit the ground 🏃‍♀️ in 2025! 👉 Head start on prospecting and custom research (I like to think of it as detective down time work). Brainstorm what might be top of mind for your ICP beginning of year. 👉 I create a Google Sheet of 🔥 prospects to hit the ground running in January 👉 Add all your LI prospects ahead of time on LinkedIn of course 👉 LI content and brainstorming; goals for the year. I keep a running list as ideas pop up 🆙 👉 Sequence and CRM cleanses (arguably the most important) 👉 Custom emails, messages and Looms ready to rock and roll 🎸 👉 Listen to a bunch of your teammates’ calls, both meetings booked and ones that could’ve gone better. Work out those sticky objections that you’ve been struggling with. 👉 Look into any gaps in efficiency you can implement going into 2025 👉 Mental strengthening and training 👉 Digital detox times (no cheating) 👉 Catch some 💤 👉 Truly, truly unplug 🔌— I definitely struggle with this, maybe mute notifications a few days 👉 2025: what does this year mean to you?
