Norwest Venture Partners recently published their 2025 Predictions, and selfishly one point by Shiv Chaudhary stood out: "AI-enabled services will transform revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry by increasing efficiency, automating complex tasks, and improving processes like claims management and reimbursements." Shiv’s prediction aligns with what we’re already seeing at Infinx. AI-powered solutions are helping healthcare organizations reduce manual workloads, improve claims processing, and streamline reimbursements. With shrinking margins and growing complexities, providers need tools that not only solve today’s challenges but also anticipate tomorrow’s needs. Oracle Health announced plans to launch a next-generation EHR platform in 2025, incorporating advanced cloud and AI capabilities. This new EHR will feature Oracle's clinical AI agent, voice-activated navigation, and Health Data Intelligence, which integrates patient data from over 300 sources to enhance clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes. The platform aims to replace traditional EHRs, which often dictate rigid workflows, with a more dynamic system that allows for personalized care plans. Oracle Health emphasizes that the new EHR is a complete reinvention rather than an upgrade of the previous Cerner system. It is hard to impress how impactful and important #Medicaid is to health of millions. Nikita Singareddy outlines a compelling why statement as to the importance of building innovative solutions for this population. Her articulation of the variation and complexity consumers face in understanding eligibility much less enrollement is mind-boggling. Worth a listen! 1 out of 4 people who have health insurance are on one of the 56 Medicaid plans available across the US and its territories. These plans are built for individuals who are facing some of the hardest challenges in life - economic, physical, societal, education. Yet they are some of the hardest to navigate and understand. Conversely Medicaid is also one of the greatest source of health delivery innovations - from concepts like "Medical Home" care models and telehealth to embracing transportation, housing, and access to food as health related investments. Excited to see the progress that Nikita and Fortuna Health make in this space. It is important for all of us, not just those who directly take advantage of Medicaid!

A new era in AI has arrived, and it’s bigger than just faster answers or larger datasets. As we discuss deep rooted problems in healthcare like population management and clinician burn out, we have the moral imperative to embrace the new technologies. Here are a few AI related key points I discussed on our CAQH panel today about “Future proofing patient care” - AI is evolving at a warp speed. For example, OpenAI’s O1-preview is a step change—a true paradigm shift. This isn’t just an evolution of GPT-4; it signals the birth of a new category of AI— welcome to the era of Large Reasoning Models.   In the enterprise world, O1 signals a shift from AI as a tool to AI as a collaborator. It means AI can now tackle complex problems alongside human teams, not just process data. Health systems and payors who effectively integrate these advanced AI capabilities may gain significant competitive advantages. But it’s not just about technical implementation. Healthcare leaders must foster a cultural shift—creating environments where human ingenuity and AI collaborate, driving innovation and solving complex challenges together. The opportunity is immense, but it requires strategic foresight. The cognitive burden on our clinicians is huge and the eventual impact will be on the patients who are already suffering from access issues and long wait times. We owe it to them to - let’s shift the mindset of seeing AI as a tool to AI as a collaborator.
