For a healthcare organization managing a workforce of clinicians and staff across multiple facilities is a pressing challenge. Healthcare professionals, such as nurses and doctors, must maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications to comply with regulations and provide patient care. Step-by-Step Guide to Configuring Notifications for License Expiry Step 1: Identify Key Stakeholders for Notifications -Employee: The healthcare professional whose license is nearing expiration. -Managers: Department heads who must ensure coverage if a license lapses. -HR/Compliance Team: Responsible for tracking and managing credentialing workflows. Step 2: Design the Notification Triggers ->Notifications are strategically placed to ensure timely actions: -Initial Reminder: Sent 90 days before the license expiration. -Follow-Up Reminder: Sent 30 days before expiration. -Escalation Alert: Sent 10 days before expiration to the manager and compliance team. -Action Completion Notification: Sent once the license is updated in the system. I’ve seen sales leaders leave millions of $$ on the table by underutilizing CPQ. Over my 14 years in Salesforce, 7 of which were spent mastering CPQ: I’ve noticed a recurring pattern—sales leaders implementing CPQ, but not leveraging its full potential. The result? Longer sales cycles, missed opportunities, and frustrated sales teams. Here’s the problem: Most leaders see CPQ as a tool to automate quoting—but it’s so much more. If used right, CPQ has the potential to: 1. Increase deal sizes by offering tailored configurations in minutes. 2. Shorten sales cycles by eliminating back-and-forth with pricing approvals. 3. Boost team confidence by ensuring accuracy in every quote and proposal. But most teams only scratch the surface. They over-customize the system, ignore data quality, or simply fail to train their sales teams properly. And that’s where it all falls apart. I’ve worked with numerous companies who came to me after their CPQ implementations failed to deliver. Almost every time, it wasn’t the technology—it was the lack of a clear strategy and foundation. So if you’re a VP of Sales or Sales Leader, here’s my advice: → Don’t treat CPQ as a “tool”—treat it as an asset. → Invest in proper training for your team to fully leverage it. → Align CPQ with your revenue goals—not just your sales process.
