The importance of customer experience (CX) has not only been recognized on the national level (as I illustrated in my last post), but also on the state level with the appointment of Tonya Webster as New York's Chief Customer Experience Officer (CXO). Her role, in addition to the creation of the Department of Homeland Security’s CX office, marks a significant milestone in how governments at all levels are prioritizing customer-centric services and the experiences that accompany them. (Im especially proud of this as I grew up and went to college in NY State.)   Having served as a CX executive in the broadband industry prior to this job, Tonya understands firsthand the pivotal role CX plays in organizational success. Did you know ... The state of Maine passed a law requiring telemarketers to reference the RND (Reassigned Numbers Database) before making calls to consumers who live in Maine? Enforcement starts July 16th 2024, and failure to comply means the calling party is liable which will result in violation fees. We suspect other states will follow suit. For me, attending a trade show feels like prepping for a big game—it’s all about what you do before, during and after. Before the Show: Which companies are attending? What booths should I visit? I focus on real conversations (not just swapping business cards) and figure out how I can solve someone's #telecom challenges.
