In #Kenya, significant strides in the #HIV response have lead to reductions in prevalence and mortality rates. With greater access to HIV #testing services and optimized HIV #treatment regimens, people living with HIV are living longer an as they age, they face increased risk of developing #noncommunicablediseases like #diabetes, #hypertension, and other #cardiovasculardiseases. They are also more likely to experience #mentalhealth conditions.    Integrated person-centered delivery models offer an efficient solution that facilitates high-quality, holistic health care, while also addressing service access and utilization barriers. PATH has been advancing integrated HIV-#NCD delivery models across #Africa and #Asia, ranging from providing NCD screening and referrals to equipping community health workers to conduct household-based HIV-NCD screening and offering NCD screening, diagnosis, and care services at private and/or community-based one-stop shop clinics.     #WorldAIDSDay #ProudofPEPFAR

Definitely an urgent need and a call to enhance/scale up bacteriology testing and the capacity for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) detection in Africa. This will help in tackling the silent pandemic of AMR effectively on the continent.

State-Level Advocacy for Inclusion and Synergy The Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN) continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services by engaging stakeholders not only on national and, importantly, state levels. On-going advocacy efforts in states are strategically focused on partnerships and strengthening collaboration between CHAN and Ministries of Health in implementing states by introducing the CHAN MNCH project, fostering integration within Technical Working Groups (TWGs), and ensuring alignment with state-level activities. We aim to empower CHAN facilities to contribute meaningfully by sharing valuable insights, context-specific experiences, and feedback at the TWG. The CHAN MNCH team has received a warm reception from the Honorable Commissioner of Health, Gombe; Dr.Habu Dahiru Dahiru in Gombe and Plateau State Sexual & Reproductive Health Coordinator; Mrs Dorcas K. Ibrahim. Additionally, in Kaduna, a productive engagement was held at the office of the Executive Secretary of, the Kaduna Primary Health Care Development Board; Mr. Hamza Ikara The Ministries of Health expressed a strong commitment to the partnership and collaboration in improving MNCH in the states. We are excited to share that government representatives have shown readiness to collaborate, welcoming the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network project and emphasizing their shared dedication to improving healthcare outcomes
