On Mondays it's hard not to think about routines. #amiright? Routines, optimization, productivity: how can a eek a little more outta this week? And that oft-asked-question: "How do you do it?" I lean into something closer to the #5amclub recommendation that we strive for a 5 am wake up with: 20 minutes of exercise, 20 minutes of meditation and journaling, and 20 minutes of learning/reading -- before anything else. But I've learned, as with everything, you have to have your own formula -- but HAVING a formula is key. These days I'm a 5:30 slow coffee + "clean the work slate," dog walk, workout, protein shake (SHAKEOLOGY, AG1, always, like church ⛪ ) -- helps me know that i've got all the good stuff in and the fires put out to ease into our busy busy days building a new servicer for CMG Financial. Of course -- understanding others' formula is critical to understand the options you have for your own -- whilst my favorite writer's formula worked well for him (including "I numb my twanging intellect with several belts of Scotch and water ($5.00/fifth at the State Liquor store, the only liquor store in town. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Equitable Holdings" The last time I checked Equitable was an IBD owned by an insurance company. I would like to hear my networks' opinion but, in my eyes, the IBDs use of marketing tricks and rebranding to attract advisors to "independence" is borderline unethical. #RIA #Wealthmanagement #breakaway #Fiduciary
