About
Hi, I'm Dr. Mario Amaro. I'm a USN Veteran turned health-tech founder, helping doctor and clinician entrepreneurs build and launch their private practices.
I have almost 20 years of direct patient care experience and have a passion for small business and helping my clinical colleagues rediscover their autonomy and independence.
If you're a doctor or clinician thinking about starting a private practice, here's how I can help:
- Practice Entity Compliance (early practice formation)
- Practice business banking and finance
- Practice payments (how to get paid for your services)
- Practice Website (how to help make it easier for patients to discover your services)
- Care delivery infrastructure (which tools and software you need to deliver care to patients)
- Patient acquisition (how to get your first patients)
- Practice back-office services (how to manage bookkeeping, accounting, taxes, and payroll)

Here's how you can build relationships as an early-stage entrepreneur.
As an early stage entrepreneur I think the number one asset you should value and protect the most is your time. So what you want to do is focus on optimizing each network events you attend to make sure that they actually deliver real value. 1. research attendees in advance 2. see if there's a slack or online group to better gauge topics or focus 3. create a goal prior to committing (e.g. looking for a cofounder, investors, sales leads, etc)

What do you do if you need to leverage networking for your healthcare entrepreneurship journey?
Here are 3 ways you can get started: 1. Make a list of who you'd like to network with by researching who is already a leader in the field you're targeting. LinkedIn is a great resource for this. 2. Reference this list with people already in your network and request warm introductions. I always recommend creating a short bio and blurb about what you're working on. This will allow the person making the introduction to provide better context and ultimately give them more confidence in leveraging their network. 3. Make sure you have a plan of action (i.e., what your goals are for the meeting or if you'd like to request any other connections) when engaging with these leaders and always follow up with a thank you email for all parties.
