Exploring the Strategic Use of SYNTHIA™ at GSK: A Case Study 🔬 John Jin Lim from GSK presents a compelling case study on how SYNTHIA™ Retrosynthesis Software is utilized to enhance brainstorming and synthesis processes. This example focuses on the synthesis of a quinoline compound with a piperidine side chain. 💡 In a recent brainstorm, 36 ideas were submitted, including 12 from SYNTHIA™. The top idea was the Fitzinger reaction, which scaled up successfully. Although the Povarov reaction, suggested by SYNTHIA™, wasn't tested due to project termination, its value was evident as it provided a unique backup idea that no staff member had considered. 🔍 Interestingly, SYNTHIA™ did suggest the Fitzinger reaction, but it was initially buried due to limitations in starting material availability. I continue to be impressed by our Ginkgo Datapoints team. Our platform has reimagined traditional developability assays (AC-SINS, DLS-kD, nanoDSF, etc.) for high-throughput analysis, enabling thousands of weekly measurements to power better AI models for accelerating tx-antibody development.
