Pro tip: Strategic #CRO answers business questions. Tactical CRO does not address business questions (e.g. CTA color). Doesn't mean tactical CRO doesn't have a place. And in fact, if you're just getting started, most CRO programs end up being tactical FIRST while the flywheel starts spinning. BUT, strategic #CRO drives impact. It helps get buy in for MORE testing. 🚨 PSA for all the email marketers out there: It’s not the size of your list that matters… it’s how you treat it. 😉 You could have 100,000 subscribers, but if they’re not opening, reading, or engaging with your emails, that big ol’ list is just taking up space in your CRM. 💡 Instead of obsessing over your list size, focus on nurturing the relationships you do have. HubSpot adoption is critical to its success. There's no point investing thousands into your CRM if none of your team are using it. There's also no point if your team are using it, but only because they're being forced to (or need constant reminding from leadership to update their notes). The data that goes in will be the bare minimum to check a box, and won't actually be that valuable in helping you make decisions long term. Instead, show your team how to have the CRM work FOR them, not the other way around. Adoption then becomes a self-driven and self-motivated act by the team. That's what Outbound is all about. Beware: It's badge scanning season 😱 Remember, fellow marketers: Meetings > "leads." Scanning someone's badge isn't a bad thing, but it also doesn't make them a super spicy lead that sales should contact yesterday. If someone hands you their business card or lets you scan their badge, that doesn't mean they're ready to buy—not even close. It just means they're open to connecting with you and learning more.
