You're facing self-doubt on stage. How do you maintain a strong presence?
One thing I have found helpful is slowing down my delivery and pace. To do this, I intentionally build in short pauses and deep breaths (quietly) throughout my presentation. Often, slowing down is steadying and grounding and is helpful for ensuring a good delivery.

Your CEO lacks empathetic leadership skills. How can you guide them towards a more compassionate approach?
I believe it's important to lead by example when it comes to empathy. Many people are taught that to become a CEO, they need to suppress their empathy and rely on more aggressive skills, but this approach is outdated. I don't see a lack of this skill as a failure but rather an opportunity for growth. My coaching approach involves encouraging the development of active listening skills, which can serve as a model for everyone in the company. By demonstrating how to improve their skills, I help my clients learn the new skill, teach the skill of learning and model the new learned skill, and grow simultaneously.

What do you do if you're struggling with procrastination and missing deadlines?
In my experience, procrastination may be a sign of a deeper issue such as dissatisfaction overall. For example, if I am procrastinating on tasks, I may be struggling with either seeing the benefit of completing the task or I may be struggling with my sense of purpose and fulfillment with the job overall. This is not ALWAYS the case, but continual procrastination is usually tied to a long standing deeply rooted sense of dissatisfaction for the job. Evaluating the “why” behind persistent procrastination may be key 🔑 for preventing it in the future around the same or similar tasks.

Your coworker isn't respecting your expertise. How can you make them listen?
In my experience, you can not make or force anyone to respect you. However, speaking up about the lack of respect or acknowledgement may assist with shedding light on your concern. For example, you could address the issue with them and let them know up front how it has impacted you. Although they may not care to see it the way you have shown them, you have successfully started the conversation. If this tactic proves ineffective, you could follow up by having the next conversation with this person and an available supervisor, and continue from there.
