I was honored to be featured in an article by Canvas Rebel, an online magazine for creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs. #ThrowbackTuesday to "4 Mistakes Founders Make." I was searching for an article and this one that Juliana Reyes wrote when she was with Technical.ly #Philly ten years ago (upon my launching Trajectify) that ranked pretty high. "There’s an 'Oh, shit' moment that Krupit likes to talk about when he’s talking about entrepreneurs and their trajectories... They see the chasm and they wonder, ‘Am I going to get across it?'" I shared with them these four common themes and mistakes I've seen with founders: 🎯 Goal setting When founders are faced with the issue of making that jump from a $500,000 company to a $1 million company, goals are important. They ground us. 📊 Financial discipline The vast majority of entrepreneurs don’t know money. They don’t look at their books. They don’t follow a budget. No one knows what a balance sheet is. 🗺️ Strategy The first couple of years you’re opportunistic. You get lucky and that’s important. You can’t plan luck.
