RPSG Capital Ventures , an early-stage venture capital firm specializing in consumer-focused startups, proudly announces the closure of its second fund, Fund II, at Rs 550 crore. The fund saw overwhelming interest, exceeding 150% of the target size, prompting the firm to utilize the green shoe option to accommodate the additional demand. The investor base predominantly includes domestic participants such as family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and seasoned industry veterans from the consumer sector. Notably, Fund II attracted many repeat investors from previous funds. The RP-Sanjiv Goenka (RPSG) Group, which supports RPSG Capital Ventures, also doubled its initial investment, reinforcing its commitment as the anchor investor. "We’re focused on generating returns for our investors and remain dedicated to our investment principles of maintaining a focused and selective portfolio with stringent underwriting standards," stated Abhishek Goenka, Managing Partner at RPSG Capital Ventures. With the fresh capital from Fund II, RPSG Capital Ventures has already spearheaded investments in several consumer-centric businesses. Titan Capital logs final close of new fund at Rs 333 crore Titan Capital, led by Snapdeal cofounders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, typically backs startups at a seed or pre-seed stage. This is the first time it raised #external capital, with Bahl and Bansal having used personal capital for investments so far. It has already made three investments from the fund – including Bengaluru-based Convin, which is building an #AI copilot for customer facing teams, eco-friendly direct-to-consumer home needs brand Beco, and software-as-a-service startup Simplismart. Foodtech major Zomato’s consolidated net profit zoomed multifold year-on-year (YoY) to INR 253 Cr in the June quarter (Q1) of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25). The Deepinder Goyal-led startup posted its maiden profitable quarter in Q1 FY24, reporting a net profit of INR 2 Cr 👇 On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, profit rose nearly 45% from INR 175 Cr. Revenue from operations jumped 74% to INR 4,206 Cr in Q1 FY25 from INR 2,416 Cr in the corresponding quarter last year. Operating revenue rose 18% from INR 3,562 Cr in Q4 FY24.
