Everyone has a bad day. For me, its the consistent poor behavior, especially from those in leadership, that really boils my blood. Interesting study into rude behavior and how managers view those who their colleagues view as rude. "Given the central role leaders play as decision makers in the workplace, it’s critical that they assess employee behavior fairly and accurately. To our dismay, our study discovered a tendency on the part of managers to blame employees for the mistreatment they experience. For those leaders responsible for evaluating others at work, we hope our research reminds you to be more judicious." Your words matter. Your tone matters. And if you're a leader, maybe take a moment to evaluate the behaviors and culture on your teams. Its been proven time and time again, toxic cultures are one of the top reasons people seek new opportunities. And rude behavior, or lack of repercussions for such behavior, only fuels toxicity in the workplace. #hbr #leadership #workplaceculture

I took the chance to dive into Salesforce's take on #AI. There's no doubt that they're focused on trust & transparency, but there's still the element of responsibility of the prompter and end user in using AI ethically. The tools available in the platform today are worth exploring, and I'm sure we'll only see them multiply as we learn how to work alongside AI.

“If you can't manage yourself, how in the world are you going to handle a bunch of collaborations and projects with tons of stakeholders?” As a PMM, I keep coming back to this question. Anyone who knows me would say I'm a bit of a self- and project management nut. Although, there's always room to level up, I see how much it helps me in work. I've gathered some key points that I think are not only crucial for personal life but also for crushing it in your professional routine (especially as a product marketer): Know your limits 👉🏼 we all have different thresholds for dealing with people, staying focused, cranking out content etc. If you don't know your limits for various activities, you'll set yourself up for failure. Unrealistic goals lead to missed deadlines, which leads to a perpetual cycle of guilt. And nobody needs that kind of stress. Scaling up to managing a team without knowing their limits can lead to chaos in project planning. And this is where the stakes are significantly high. Find your info consumption style 👉🏼 do you need everything visually laid out, or are you a note-taker extraordinaire? Figure out the best way to organize all that new info, ideas, schedules, tasks, and goals. Got a system for storing it all? If not, it's time to brainstorm. Maybe you're more about color-coded calendars or the guru of comprehensive checklists or tables. The key is finding what works for you (and your team!). Know your why 👉🏼 if you're diving into something without a clear 'why,' chances are you're lost or it's not worth your time. Keep your goals fresh and relevant, whether you're starting a new course or crafting another killer sales pitch. Make room for reflection 👉🏼 if all you do is consume, consume, consume, where's the creativity coming from? Everyone needs some downtime for self-reflection, whether it's after a marathon of meetings or a binge-watch session. If you don't plan time to process all that incoming info, you'll struggle to bring anything new to the table. *and my fav video to this topic 😅 #selforganization #selfmanagement
