I’m excited to share an important update for all Microsoft Teams Copilot users! We are rolling out expanded controls for managing the availability of Copilot in Teams meetings, providing greater flexibility and control for both IT administrators and meeting organizers. What’s New? • For IT Administrators: Through the Teams Admin Center, you can now set Copilot to ‘Off’ at the tenant level, for individual users, or both. This granular control ensures that Copilot aligns perfectly with your organization’s policies and needs. • For Meeting Organizers: In the meeting options, you’ll find a new control labeled “Allow Copilot” with three choices: 1. Only during the meeting 2. During and after the meeting 3. Off Selecting ‘Off’ will disable Copilot for the meeting, as well as Recording and Transcription features, giving you complete control over your meeting’s functionalities. Why This Matters: These enhanced settings empower organizations to tailor their Teams experience, ensuring that Copilot is available only when it’s most beneficial. Whether it’s for maintaining privacy, adhering to compliance standards, or simply customizing the meeting environment, these new controls offer the flexibility needed in today’s dynamic workspaces. This feature began rolling out in September and is set to enhance the way we collaborate and manage our virtual meetings. Nightmare fuel: imagine Google Cloud deleting not just your data, but your entire account including backups...across 2 geographic regions! This is why I've been looking at external backup solutions for GCP and Google Drive, as expensive as this is. "Google Cloud is supposed to have safeguards that don't allow account deletion, but none of them worked apparently, and the only option was a restore from a separate cloud provider (shoutout to the hero at UniSuper who chose a multi-cloud solution)." #BusinessContinuity #DataSecurity #CloudComputing
