The most common mistake I see from local businesses... Not claiming and managing their Google Business Profiles! This is a FREE service and directly impacts your customers' ability to do business with you. Just yesterday, I found two businesses in Spokane with incorrect hours on their Google listings. 🏡 Advertising strategy for custom home builders… 1) Build your content foundation 📲 Post valuable content consistently. 3x per week is a good number to start. Stick to it. Show off your work, answer common questions/objections prospects have regarding your service, post client testimonials, and show your day-to-day life as a builder. Remember: you’re not an influencer. You’re a business owner. Your purpose is to get clients and build trust online, not get followers and likes. 2) Run lead generation ad campaigns 🚀 Create a Facebook ad campaign with the objective of getting you more volume of leads. Make ads addressing your audience’s common problems, desires, and needs regarding building a new home. Position your service as the go-to solution to their problems and desires. Create an offer that’s different than what people see most builders offering: free consultations. You can get creative here. Anything that reverses risk or guarantees success and results sells! 💸 Collect their contact information with either instant forms (within Facebook) or a dedicated landing page (outside of Facebook. Less opt-ins but lead quality is higher). Add a few filters to vet leads that opt-in. 3) Lead nurturing 📞 Leads should receive an email and a text, at least, within 5 minutes of them giving you their contact information. Automations help you do this. Softwares like Zapier and Go HighLevel are great solutions. Call every single lead as early as you can. The sooner you call them, the higher the chance of them picking up. Once they do pick up, qualify them (based on your requirements), and schedule a consultation meeting. This is an extremely simple but very effective advertising funnel you can use to get more custom home projects 🏡 - Was this valuable? Got data? 💾 Do you know which products your website visitors are looking for on your site? No I don't mean your best seller... Are you tracking what product website visitors are looking for the most, or when they are looking for it? Do you know how to answer those questions? Do you know why those questions could be important to answer? Go to your "on-site searches" or "keyword searches" dashboard or report. Depending on how you set up your data collection, this could be directly on site, or through a data feed i.e. Google. Can the report show you 100% of the time what potential customers are having a hard time finding? Absolutely not. What it does do, is give you a pulse on what customers search for once they hit your site. Sometimes visitors will search Google with a phrase; however if the landing page doesn't match the visitors intent, (hopefully not because your ad and or #contentmanagers are lazy or worse yet, under-resourced) you'll still have a chance to collect that search phrase if they just recycle their search again on your site. That's an easy collection, but that IF they do. Again, the search reports will not give you context, but sometimes if you get a data person to look at the numbers, they can find a pattern that tells a story of where your customers are moving through once they arrive to your site. Yes, like The Matrix. #productmanagers, here's a tip for you: go to your web or data manager, ask for the on-site searches report for as long as they can go back. The most searched product on that list that is not in your catalog is your next product idea. Want to find support for your case but the brass won't listen? Go find your defense in that report. Break out the data by year. Do you see a trend? That will be the leading sub-category boom in your space in the short term. Holy wah, I love data.

One was on a $50M landscaping company's site. Typos are part of life. Even when you have 7-10 people review things, a few small ones will slip through now and then.
