This is still such an important topic as I consistently find brands showing a polished-over attempt at an authentic employee experience and career journey. As part of the talent attraction and recruitment marketing community, we have such a critical role to advocate for authentic employee storytelling and provide an aspirational and hopefully inspirational experience for potential candidates to come work for our companies. EB and RM specialists, fight for that seat at the table in your organization and do not become complacent. You are the conduit between the brand and attracting that right talent. As a Gallup CliftonStrengths coach and PMP, I've learned that professional growth often requires moments of reflection and reset. This week, I'm trading my laptop for a rifle as I embark on an elk hunting adventure in Idaho's backcountry. Nature has a way of sharpening our focus and rekindling our drive. The patience required in stalking elk mirrors the persistence needed in coaching and project management. The strategic planning for a successful hunt echoes the careful preparation we put into our professional endeavors. As I step onto these lands, I'm mindful of their rich history and honor the indigenous nations to whom they belong, including the Shoshone-Bannock and Nez Perce peoples. This awareness deepens my connection to the land and the experience. This time in the wilderness isn't just about the hunt; it's an opportunity to recharge, reflect on recent achievements, and set new goals. As I navigate the rugged terrain, I'm reminded that growth – both personal and professional – often comes from stepping out of our comfort zones. The best part of being a Life Coach who works on Authenticity, is the opportunity I get to learn from those, who lead the most authentic of lives. One such tribe is that of #teachers. Yesterday I had the most amazing privilege of working with some remarkable educators at Spring Canyon Middle School and it reinforced for me yet again why they remain our greatest superheroes. When we talk about authenticity, we talk about the constancy of change as we evolve into better versions of our selves. We talk about acknowledging limiting beliefs that hold us back from this, or motivators that push us forward. This is not rocket science for anyone who has vested some conscious time in self development and inner work. What blows my mind though is how teachers, even when traversing their own journeys, help their students accomplish this very goal in so many diverse ways. To constantly bridge these gaps within and outside themselves, and to do so effortlessly needs patience and tenacity, of monumental proportions. Take a bow ladies.
