🔶 🔷 🔸 CSDI employees notice a new addition as they tread the headquarters' lobby. Central Securities Depository of Iran has placed an electronic #donation box right after they pass through the entrance gate so that anyone who is interested can donate for pediatric #cancer patients. As part of this initiative, CSDI partnered with a society to support children suffering from cancer, a non-profit organization addressing cancer, to use technology and ease donations to this center. The move has been largely welcomed by a vast majority of employees. The Society to Support #Children Suffering from Cancer widely known by its acronym, MAHAK Charity, being in close contact with every individual and with its committed and sincere presence, has reached a distinct position with the government and the civil society. In Iran, social participation has its roots in the ancient Iranian culture and belief that encourages helping others, establishing orphanages, asylums, clinics, schools, etc. while in the industrial world of today, the concepts such as #CSR as modern means of participation are much discussed and the NGOs including MAHAK try to profit from these new ideas. Central Securities Depository of Iran has introduced different CSR programs to address key touch points of social problems. Cancer is a disease which is still giving a major challenge to medical science. Also, treatment for cancer costs a bomb. To help fund the treatment of cancer including their counseling and adequate nutrition, to offer a better life to cancer patients, to spread awareness around unhealthy lifestyle practices and the need for regular check up and early detection, initiatives as such in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility holds a special place for CSDI. We’re proud to announce the launch of Center for RAS Therapeutics to target the RAS oncogene in cancer. The first of its kind Center aims to advance new treatment approaches for patients with RAS mutant cancers by bringing Dana-Farber scientists and clinicians together with industry partners and other academic centers to accelerate drug development to improve outcomes for patients. The Center will be co-directed by Alice Shaw, MD, PhD and Andrew Aguirre, MD, PhD. “RAS is a major driver of some of our most challenging cancers, including lung, pancreatic, colorectal, and endometrial cancers, among others,” said Shaw. “This new Center will enable coordinated efforts among Dana-Farber researchers to advance the most promising new therapies to patients as rapidly as possible.” “We will work closely with other academic and industry partners with the goal to improve our understanding of treatment resistance across tumor types, to discover new vulnerabilities in RAS-driven cancers, and to conduct the most efficient clinical trials of new therapies,” Aguirre added. The Center’s work will support pre-clinical studies and clinical trials of RAS-directed therapies. A large pipeline of newly developed RAS inhibitors is already in clinical trials or in late preclinical development. Currently, Dana-Farber has many clinical trials open focused on promising new therapies to address RAS-driven cancers. Pfizer-Genmab Gets Full USFDA Approval For Tivdak To Treat Recurrent Or Metastatic Cervical Cancer Pfizer Inc. and Genmab A/S have announced the U.S. FDA (FDA) has approved the supplemental Biologics License Application (sBLA) granting full approval for TIVDAK (tisotumab vedotin-tftv) for the treatment of patients with recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer with disease progression on or after chemotherapy. The approval is based on results from the global, randomized, Phase 3 innovaTV 301 clinical trial (NCT04697628), which met its primary endpoint, demonstrating overall survival (OS) benefit in adult patients with previously treated recurrent or metastatic cervical cancer treated with TIVDAK compared to chemotherapy. Secondary endpoints of progression-free survival (PFS) and confirmed objective response rate (ORR) were also met. We’re proud to share that two of our Principal Investigators, Dr. Nehal Lakhani and Dr. Kyriakos Papadopoulos, are featured in Clinical Cancer Research for their work on the study: "First-In-Human Dose-Escalation Study of Fianlimab, an Anti-Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3 Antibody, with Cemiplimab in Patients with Advanced Malignancies." Fianlimab is a promising LAG3 antibody, currently being developed in combination with cemiplimab (PD1 antibody) in several solid tumors including melanoma. In this article the authors present the first-in-human dose escalation trial of fianlimab as monotherapy and in combination with cemiplimab. The combination was well tolerated with a side effect profile that that appeared to have less toxicity compared to anti CTLA4 and anti PD1 combinations. PK data presented show dose proportionality of fianlimab concentrations over dose range tested and was not affected by combination with cemiplimab. Fianlimab monotherapy showed no pharmacodynamic effect on T cells. The combination therapy suggested a pharmacodynamic effect on activated peripheral T cells and dose dependent relationship between combination dosing with increasing doses of fianlimab. Phase 3 trials are underway testing fianlimab and cemiplimab as adjuvant therapy in patients with previously untreated or unresectable advanced melanoma, as well as a Phase 3 trial of fianlimab and cemiplimab combination in advanced or metastatic melanoma.  We congratulate Drs.
