While there are a lot of great insights shared in this discussion with Nancy Nazer, Ph.D., CHRO of OMERS, one point that stood out to me is the important role that people analytics can play in shaping a great culture. There's a culture-building flywheel hinted to in this webinar, and I think it looks like this: 1. Deploy a thoughtful and well-designed employee experience survey. 2. Derive insights to validate the drivers of important outcomes like engagement, well-being etc. 3. Leverage insights to get buy-in from business leaders and justify program investment. 4. Create and implement a clear action plan tied to high-impact workforce needs. 5. Demonstrate the value of initiatives to the organization to build trust and support for continued employee feedback and culture investment. 6. Repeat As anyone who touches any of these pieces knows, there's a lot of effort, creativity, and resilience that goes into making it all work together. But good listening and analytics underpins the elements of the process and creates alignment and commitment around targeted interventions that move the needle in the right direction. #PsychologicalSafety is crucial for helping every employee learn, #collaborate, and perform...but this is especially true for new hires learning the ropes at their company. My latest research with the incredible Derrick Bransby and Michaela Kerrissey reveals a fascinating, if concerning, pattern: On average, newcomers joined their organization with higher psychological safety relative to their more tenured colleagues, then lost it and waited years to reach levels comparable to when they arrived. The good news?
