The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) unveiled its new EV Charging Resource Network at the NECA 2024 San Diego event, running from from September 28 to October 1, 2024. Developed in collaboration with Fuser LLC, this new platform is designed to help NECA members take full advantage of the rapidly expanding EV charging market. Marco Giamberardino, NECA’s Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs, and Pete Mastrorocco, NECA’s Senior Vice President of Education, Events and Partnerships, spoke about the important release of the EV Charging Resource Network. Fuser collaborated with NECA on the EV Charging Resource Network. The network offers access to Fuser, an open marketplace and networking platform dedicated to Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE). Fuser connects EV charging station operators with trusted EVSE professionals for installation, maintenance, and repairs. The platform simplifies the process of finding reliable professionals, ensuring that EVSE operations run smoothly and efficiently. By providing this valuable connection between operators and skilled contractors, Fuser helps enhance the reliability and longevity of EV charging infrastructure. Fuser LLC executive Patrick McGinnis expressed optimism about building a stronger and more responsive EVSE industry through collaboration with NECA. By working together, McGinnis aims to unite all EVSE stakeholders, including charging station operators, electrical contractors, and manufacturers, to streamline operations and foster innovation in the rapidly growing electric vehicle infrastructure sector. This partnership seeks to enhance cooperation across the industry, ensuring a more efficient and reliable EV charging network. 📣In the news: Washington State has launched their Clean Buildings Performance Grant to help properties achieve compliance with the Washington State Clean Buildings Performance Standard (CBPS). Grants will reimburse building owners for costs associated with projects and services that help achieve compliance with the CBPS, such as: 👷‍♂️Energy efficiency retrofits 💚Energy audits (for privately held buildings) 📈Energy benchmarking ⏱️Developing an energy management plan (EMP) 🏢Developing an operations and maintenance program (O&M) Applications are due by the end of the month and awards will be announced in March. But the turnaround is tight - grant awardees much complete their projects by June 30, 2025. We're already underway with applications for some Washington-based clients and have bandwidth to help with more, plus that completion deadline doesn't scare us.
