For the 2024 class, we have identified this number of players signed for 10k or less per country of origin. Colombia 6 = 46% of total of players Mexico 9 = 33% total of players Venezuela 95 = 33% total of players Dominican R 72 = 24% total of players Panama 4 = 21% total of players If an International Draft comes into the equation, it's possible that most of these 186 players will have a much higher valuation. Really don't care about what colleges are willing to spend for these services. But, what I do for SAA clients and parents is to help one, give them an educational platform to help take out the monetization of the recruiting process. Student athletes need "honest answers, and clear understanding" of what college coaches are saying to them, or in most cases what they are not saying. Non-baseball fans often cite the gap of time between seeing a player drafted to his debut as a reason why they do not follow the sport. On Saturday, one of the most hyped pitching prospects in baseball history made his MLB debut. Paul Skenes has been grouped with Mark Prior and Stephen Strasburg as a generational arm ready to attack the baseball world. He did this after 12 games in the Minors. He did so a year removed from playing college baseball. He's not the only one rising through the Minors at this pace. See the photo below as Wyatt Langford and Nolan Schanuel have been fast-tracked to the show. Historically it has been years before we see the debuts, but now some prospects are making their debut quickly. Will this attract more fans to the game? After we sold North American Sports Group in 2016, I needed to figure out what’s next and starting over. So I did what most middle age white guys do after a long career and selling a business, we started 5 Percent Club podcast and wrote a book Sports Dream Job Playbook. This I can tell you, once you put it out there for the world to decide, which you never know how it will be taken, we knew we were doing the right thing and hit a cord with a specific group. Could never imagined at the time, how much of an impact it has made on me personally helping student athlete discover their pathways be it working in the industry or starting a business. Part of that startover process was a rediscovery of what I simply enjoyed doing at this stage, and helping as many student athletes with their careers/startups as possible is the fuel to the fire. The validation led us to build GamePlanU in 2019 as a startup studio launching sports innovation companies and careers. But 5 years later there is a much different landscape with High School and College athletes having an eye on entrepreneurship and career discovery, the athletes have organically created their own locker room startup culture not waiting on the “adults” to screw it up more than they already have with NIL. The result of this timing and opportunity is watching athletes such as University of Bridgeport Denzel Luna not wait but define who he is now and knowing this is his moment to discover his future outside of sports. Starting over is always tough regardless of any age, but this moment now is the time for student startups before their playing careers are over, because they will figure out what they don’t want to do long before they discover a career path they love.
