ONLINE BOOKING FOR MEDICAL CENTERS ---- Back in Russia, it was a must. You don't have online booking - patients will go to a clinic that has it. Period. Here in Israel Health IT and service level in medical centers is way less advanced (but the doctors are way better 😁), but it's gonna change. And we are working on that=) All clinics using our solution have online booking, and, hopefully, the number of them will increase. We've been doing online booking for over 10 years, and yes, we know A LOT about it. Online booking helps you: 1. Increase site conversion level up to 2x 2. Increase the level of patient's service 3. Very interesting report of Israel's AI ecosystem by F2 Venture Capital, Google Cloud and Deloitte. 🔍 On a high level: - The AI startup ecosystem in Israel is booming, with over 2,150 active AI companies, representing ~30% of the local tech sector. - Startups leveraging AI attracted over 60% of all capital raised in 2023. - The country ranks 3rd globally in private AI investment, demonstrating its strong position in the global AI market. 💡 Key takeaways from the report: - Vertical AI is a stronghold. It attracts the largest share of private funding, with Life Sciences, Healthcare and Fintech (banking, financial services and insuretech) leading the charge. Israel's deep domain expertise in these sectors positions it as a potential global leader. - Autonomous Enterprise (Horizontal AI) shows promise. Cybersecurity is a particular strength, capturing 56% of the segment's funding However, the development of multi-modal, end-to-end solutions and AI agents presents further opportunities for cross-industry applications. - AI & Data Ops is a key area for growth. Israel's strong talent pool and focus on enhancing existing infrastructure make it well-suited to address the growing demand for cloud-based AI Ops platforms and efficient data management solutions. Investing in #Israeli #startups today remains a wise choice. Maybe now more than ever. How come? Although the current war situation is impactful on the tech industry, the Israeli #tech startup scene is as strong as it was before, maybe even stronger. Unfortunately, the political situation – is less successful. Despite the challenges, the #resilience of the startup ecosystem is evident. The biggest hurdle is that the appetite of foreign investors is almost the only thing that is not back to normal. According to a TechCrunch article published today, since the beginning of the year, 11 Israeli companies, primarily in cybersecurity and AI, have been acquired for over $2 billion. Notable acquisitions include Nvidia’s purchases of Run.AI and Desi, as well as Blackstone’s acquisition of Priority. Additionally, cloud security unicorn Wiz, which recently raised $1 billion, the largest financing round for any Israeli startup, is reportedly in talks for a $23 billion acquisition by #Google. So, yes, #investors want to wait until things clear up. That's understandable. AI and Climate: The Danger and the Opportunity. 🧠 ⚡ I recently attended the Israeli AI Blueprint event, which Google Cloud and Deloitte sponsored. The experience was truly enlightening. Esteemed speakers such as Boaz Maoz, Rotem Dolev, Naama Yanko, Jonathan Saacks, Irit Kahan, and Aviad Ariel shared insights on how AI is creating opportunities to disrupt incumbents and introduce AI-driven solutions to new markets, even though it hasn't fundamentally changed their core investment strategies. A pivotal moment for me was when Daniel Schreiber and Yair Laron concluded the event with profound statements. Daniel highlighted that AI neural networks are increasingly capable of performing tasks traditionally done by humans, including roles like programmers, doctors, and psychologists. He referenced Google CEO Sundar Pichai's revelation that over 25% of new code at Google is now generated by AI. This raises critical questions: What happens when most of the code is AI-generated as AI continues to improve? Considering that a software engineer's annual salary is around $200,000 a year and is now replaced by AI-driven solutions powered by energy-intensive servers but significantly lower cost than the human programmer, that would lead to a scenario in which access to energy and data centers becomes a key determinant of technological advancement. I believe that AI usage could expand exponentially, increasing by 10,000 to 100,000 times its current utilization. Presently, AI consumes a fraction of the world's total energy—estimated at 20-30 terawatt-hours (TWh) out of approximately 29,925 TWh globally. If AI usage grows by 10,000 times, it could demand 200,000 to 300,000 TWh, ten times the world's current electricity consumption. Energy resources constrain the expansion of AI. To power AI responsibly, we must prioritize sustainable energy solutions. Unchecked growth without environmental consideration could have severe implications for our climate. Israel's Generative AI Expansion: 2024 Overview Generative AI is undeniably an explosive growth sector in the Israeli tech ecosystem, attracting talent and capital. Israel is a potential leading hub for generative AI globally. Israel is in the top spot for AI talent concentration in a geographic area according to the 2024 AI Index report from Stanford University. Now, the Israeli Generative AI landscape includes 238 companies (more than double since 2023) in 27 categories. In total, Israeli companies amassed an impressive $5.47 billion (it could be much more, as many funding rounds are not publicized). According to categories, AI startups have raised in healthcare - $928.16 million,  security  - $781.34 million,  consumer  - $422.5 million,  and data infrastructure  - $411 million. AI21 Labs raised the biggest funding - $208 million Series C, raising $336 million in total to date. Israel’s strengths in AI, machine learning, and data science combined with its culture of innovation and entrepreneurship provide a fertile ground for generative AI startups.
