How can you create a sense of urgency in public speaking through framing and reframing?
I start by framing a relevant problem for the audience, show why doing nothing is not OK, and then show them easy steps to address the issue. This requires me as the speaker to really know my audience. Not as easy as it sounds! :-) Toastmasters.

Activities and Societies: Rather than join numerous organizations, I chose to focus on one and drill deep into making connections in that group. I held numerous leadership roles in the Asian Business Association and am friends to this day with many of the people I met through that group.
I certainly spent a good deal of time studying while at Haas as shown by my graduating with honors. What I really enjoyed was taking my learnings and applying them in a non-classroom setting. It was insightful to bring my classroom learnings to the work world and see that dynamic at work.

Activities and Societies: The Film Club
While it is easy to say that I was enrolled in the SFSU MBA program, what I was really doing was learning from and sharing with my peers. Some of the richest discussions were where we brought our work experiences to bear and truly brought the theories/ case studies to life.
