Recently, there has been much discussion about Nvidia's CEO's approach of not having 1:1 meetings while leading 60 direct reports, emphasizing the benefits of a flat organizational structure and portraying 1:1s as unnecessary. Like with many trends, the focus has been primarily on these two aspects. Leaders have attempted to replicate this model by increasing the number of direct reports per manager or even eliminating 1:1s altogether. It's refreshing to learn about another side of the story that many are trying to emulate, one where valuing employees and placing them at the center of the organization is crucial for the company's success.

🥁 Llama3 is out 🥁 8B and 70B models available today. 8k context length. Trained with 15 trillion tokens on a custom-built 24k GPU cluster. Great performance on various benchmarks, with Llam3-8B doing better than Llama2-70B in some cases. Very excited that we shared our blockchain solution, LETUS, at SIGMOD-2024. LETUS introduce a re-designed architecture with delta-encoding and version-based indexing schema, also with block tiering and state pruning proposed. LETUS is also universal for different blockchains, adaptable for Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, etc. Evaluations shows that, LETUS improves the throughput by up to 15.8 times for the ERC-20 smart contract transfer workload. And reduces the space usage by up to 80.3%, reduces disk bandwidth usage by up to 95%. During the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, AntChain (augmented by LETUS) successfully supported the digital flame ignition event, where over 100 million torchbearers from more than 100 countries lit the digital torches in real-time online. For the first time I am happy about certificate which I received today that remind me the new learning, foundation for next year, and the hours I spent over the weekend for the 10 weeks. Little bit about course: NLP with deep learning The best part is the hands on exercises where we learn the foundations of deep learning, neural networks and the NLP. But it will be useful as a starting point and set the direction in that path.
