FCC Fines KXOL-FM in Los Angeles $8000 Over Contest The FCC has levied a proposed fine of $8000 against Spanish Broadcasting System's KXOL-FM in Los Angeles for failing to conduct a contest in accordance with its announced terms and to deliver a prize to the winner in the prescribed time under the contest's terms. Despite being required to deliver prizes to winners within thirty business days, KXOL failed to meet its own deadline. In proposing this penalty, the agency reiterated the Commission's commitment to protecting the public from deceptive broadcast contests. Under the Commission's rules, broadcast licensees must "fully and accurately disclose the material terms" of a licensee-conducted contest and conduct it "substantially as announced and advertised." Material terms "include any eligibility restrictions, means of selection of winners, and the extent, nature and value of prizes." The Commission received a complaint alleging that KXOL did not conduct a contest in a manner substantially as announced by failing to award a promised cash prize of $396 to the winner, conducted on air on October 24, 2019. The Enforcement Bureau issued a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) investigating the complaint on June 16, 2021. KXOL submitted its timely response on July 16, 2021. In

First Britfield Movie Transitions Into Pre-Production   Rancho Santa Fe, CA 9/4/2024. Britfield & the Lost Crown Movie—Redefining an Industry: With a consistent catalogue of toxic storylines and continued box office failures, when will the movie industry realize the need for great stories and family focused content—their largest attending audience. The emphasis on aggressive violence, witchcraft, and the push of agendas shows how disconnected Hollywood has become from reality and what the audience wants. Losing billions of dollars, studios have been forced to merge or file for bankruptcy, which is a clear indication of an archaic system deteriorating and ready to collapse. While movies are an effective way to influence a culture ($33.9 billion in 2023), there is a vastly underserved global market for family entertainment (an 80% gap), which will continue to expand: action, drama, comedy, and romance.    Welcome to the World of Britfield: A global brand and media company that is impacting literature and education while bringing encouragement and entertainment to children and families worldwide.
