    PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Tackling COVID-19 has demanded unprecedented speed in healthcare to deliver large volume care, leveraging technology to do the heavy lifting. UHealth IT has accomplished large scale COVID-19 vaccination by using technology in an innovative way to conduct outreach and schedule individuals through technology enablement. By targeting randomized populations via text/email, patients can self-schedule their vaccine. Once registered, an automatic order is created. After documenting the vaccine administration, an automated message is sent to the patient to self-schedule their second vaccine. With this automation, UHealth has been able to successfully administer approximately 19K vaccines in 4 weeks.
