Big Brother
Big Brothers Big Sisters
- 8 years
I was a Big Brother for 8 years to the same Little Brother. During the time we spent together, we built a special relationship where we had fun, but we also discussed the problems he is facing in school and in life. You are really able to see the impact you have on a young person's life by giving this one on one time. We have kept in touch since he graduated high school and he is now in college, in addition to working a full time job.

Classroom Instructor & Volunteer Coordinator Coordinator
Junior Achievement of Wisconsin
- 4 years 3 months
I had the opportunity to teach multiple grades about Junior Achievement and the world of business. This involved talking to them about developing their personal brand, researching future careers and following their passions. I also taught the younger grades about their community and the difference between needs and wants. The last class involved groups pitching their own business ideas in a version of Shark Tank.
