There are only two things you need. ✅Good product ✅Good creative The rest is just matter of playing with the numbers, strategy! Now our focus is going to be increasing our AOV and CVR. For AOV we already started testing upsells and bundles. For CVR we’ve added gifs on the landing page and shorten it. Let’s see how our customers will read to those changes. Oh, lastly, we are also testing 3 different prices for our main product. Who knows, maybe we will sell with the highest price🤔 There is no way we are leaving money on the table!

I recently counseled a consumer brand grappling with an influencer's response to a negative experience, which, of course was shared widely to a sizeable audience. Fans of the influencer peppered my client's socials with more negativity, tallying up thousands of no-so-great comments within hours. The client wondered if they should 1) shut off comments 2) put out an apology statement or 3) push back, since they believed the influencer unfairly exaggerated the experience. The answer: go directly to the influencer, be kind and be authentic. Assume the influencer was right and offer a re-do. Don't demand anything in return. And don't turn off comments. (This was after a thorough situation analysis and audit of the impact on social). The brand did all this within 24 hours. The result: a happy consumer (influencer), who organically posted glowing things. This is instructive for many, but not all situations. (Although it's hard to go wrong with kindness). 🎯 The brand went direct to the source. To put out a statement or turn off comments would have added fuel to the fire and potentially exposed the incident to a bigger audience. 😎 They did not push back or question the influencer. They instead offered kindness and asked for a do-over. ⏩ Speed was key. They moved quickly to confront and correct it. This approach worked. But I would not recommend these tactics as an iron-clad playbook for all situations. Crisis management isn't a one-size-fits-all situation. What I would recommend: build in some crisis planning into one of your next strategic off-sites, and capture the output in a crisis playbook. "Gen Z boss and a mini" is taking over social media in Australia right now and people have mixed feelings! If anything it's sparking conversations and getting us to talk about it - so I see it as a win for tbh Skincare. TikTok as a platform will give you all kinds of nasty comments, but how you take those comments and use it to your advantage is the real test. Did they deserve the misogynstic comments?Absolutely not! What's The Reality Of Being A Influencer in 2025 - No BS ❤️‍🔥 Here's my hot takes: Last week, We Are Social invited Tom (Aussies biggest food creator) to speak on their panel with their report on examining trends impacting the creator landscape. I spend everyday with creators, living and breathing this stuff not only as a manager but more often as a friend, so I get to see behind the curtain. 👀 1. Diversify ASAP: If you're not building audiences on every platform right now you will hit a wall at some point. The short form platforms all can be volatile and if one takes a hit you need your others to not only keep your audience engaged, but also engage brands. 🧈 2. Creator Burnout: The one thing I see way too often (it might be the Aussie curse) but when creators hit a million followers and then they gas out, sit back and wait for the money to come in and then slowly their accounts effectively die (viewership wise). The only solution i've found is to build a structured routine that allows for some down-time. 🔥 3. Middle of the Pack: From what I've seen internally the UGC wave is dying down and the creators that are thriving are generally in the top 1-5% in terms of audience size, engagement and relevancy. It's easy to get views copying larger creators but it's not a viable career. You have to break out, be unique, and always keep pushing to level the content up. Break boundaries! ⛓️‍💥 4. Build a Great Team. This isn't about having a good-looking, fun manager *cough cough*, but more about videographers, editors if you need them, assistants, creator friends, anyone you can lean on to help level up. The amount of times I have a brand call up and say they need a campaign shot in less that 48 hours wouldn't be possible without industry friends to call on. Too many creators try to be everything, it's the fastest way to burn out. 👏 Tom gave some of his thoughts on this panel but more in-tune of expressing his feelings when working with brands. What a load of BS! Rant incoming! In my “downtime”, I’m building a friend and myself a new skincare brand. You don’t need to know the specifics (yet). But you will. This business is from scratch and we’re documenting the whole thing. As we want to show you everything that goes into creating a brand. Anyway, we’re progressing through the strategy and have a really solid knowledge of pain points and competitors. For the competition, we have a solid framework that we use to analyse them, we want to know: • Brand story • The visuals - fonts, colours, imagery • The verbals - incl. value proposition • Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats As you can imagine, that’s a lot of manual work, but what you uncover are all the things they rock at, and all the things they can do better. I tried cutting down on some of the research time by feeding Claude AI the parameters I needed, and while it did give me great lists of things like words and phrases that are regularly used, it can’t go deep enough into analysing the visual side, which then affects the SWOT analysis. Meaning that I couldn’t save myself time. All up, AI, for the moment, isn’t a tool that you can use to analyse a whole brand - it still needs people to look at it, analyse and reflect on. ——— We’re also spotting some ultra macho BS, which is one reason we are getting into this business! As well as fundamental design flaws. Look Good. Smell Good. Feel Good. Text, especially a tagline, should not be split onto two lines, and if it has to be, you need to, at least, wrap ‘Feel’ onto the line below. The leading (gap between the lines) is also too open (big). Don’t leave one word all lonely! And the line below that, well, that leading is two tight (small). All up it reads terribly, making the user experience unpleasant. Here’s to keeping brands authentic, non sleezy and impeccably designed.
