Omni Federal is pleased to announce a recent award to lead the development of SOCOM’s Enterprise Training Marketplace within Digital University. SOCOM recognized a need for a comprehensive, secure, and user-friendly marketplace where SOCOM units can easily explore, select, purchase, and manage approved training from reputable vendors. Speed, convenience, and flexibility are the three core principles of this simplified procurement process. SOCOM requires an Amazon-like platform with automated procurement features that can be easily changed and adapted to meet evolving mission requirements. This single mission-enabled platform will allow users to acquire the necessary training needs of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), Special Missions Units (SMUs), and SOCOM service components. We leveraged a deep understanding of SOCOM’s distinct enterprise training requirements to conceptualize a unique SOCOM Training Marketplace design within Digital University. Our initial focus is to create a streamlined user interface and enhance the user experience for effortless navigation through the extensive pool of 100+ SOCOM-specific vendors. To capture SOCOM stakeholder needs, Omni is applying our commercially proven Human-Centered Design process adapted to meet the mission and security needs of DoD agencies. Our scope of work includes integrating an easy-to-use and streamlined procurement process, initially developed, and validated by the Digital University Program Team to expedite the acquisition of training resources. The specific and unique SOCOM Training Marketplace procurement process seamlessly aligns with the well-defined and strategically crafted set of Digital University acquisition stages, enabling integration of the two to meet specific training requirements established by the SOCOM enterprise. ANDRO is a provider of advanced software defined radio products including radio frequency machine learning (RFML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for wireless communications and networking. Under this contract, ANDRO will focus on delivering engineering, technical, and research services towards the development of engineering prototypes and production-ready capabilities at scale in the AI/wireless communications and RFML space. “We were notified of the award New Year’s Eve and what an exciting way to end 2024 and ring in 2025,” said ANDRO President Andrew Drozd. “The award further cements ANDRO’s position among an elite corps of ‘best-in-class’ government contractors from across the nation that are ready to respond to the Navy’s needs and complex service requirements related to AI, advanced wireless communications, and dynamic spectrum sharing among other areas. DISA Expands Thunderdome Zero Trust Program Deployment; Brian Hermann, Quoted. ExecutiveGov discusses the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) expansion of the Thunderdome zero trust program. In 2023, the program was deployed to 15 sites and plans are underway to extend it to 60 more sites in 2024.   The program involves four key components:  🔐 Customer security stacks 🔗 Software-defined wide area networking 📴 Secure access service edge capability, and  💯 Application security stacks.   Brian Hermann, DISA's director of the cybersecurity and analytics directorate, emphasized the program's role in advancing zero trust architecture, which is crucial for organizational security.   DISA has also finalized the contracting process to support the U.S. Coast Guard’s network security improvement efforts through Thunderdome.   Versa Networks is at the forefront of enhancing cybersecurity with their pivotal role in DISA's Thunderdome project. NSPA Awards Raytheon a $478M Patriot GEM-T Missile Contract Raytheon, an RTX business, was awarded a $478 million contract from the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) to supply additional GEM-T missiles to Germany. This contract supports the replenishment of Patriot missiles donated by Germany to Ukraine. Showing their strong support for Ukraine, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway have agreed to participate in the financing of this procurement. "Our customers are already realizing the benefits of bundled, multi-national procurement of Patriot missiles through NSPA, including the economies that offer greater affordability and the pre-negotiated contracting framework that shortens the acquisition timeline," said Tom Laliberty, president of Land and Air Defense Systems at Raytheon. "As a result, not only can we better support the missile inventories for these European partners, but also strengthen our cooperation, their interoperability, and their contribution to an essential NATO mission." Ms Stacy A. Cummings, NSPA General Manager, confirmed: "This contract demonstrates once again that NSPA, as NATO's lead organization for multinational acquisition, support and sustainment, delivers effective and cost-efficient multinational solutions to nations, while reinforcing European industrial capacities. Through close Euro-Atlantic cooperation between allies and industry, customer nations have achieved economies of scale, reduced their logistics footprint, and are obtaining capable solutions and support through a proven turnkey legal framework."

Space Force effort dedicated to improving partnerships between the military and commercial space industry has added five new vendors to its cohort and will soon begin supporting two additional mission areas, the service announced Wednesday. Companies that are part of the Space Force’s Commercial Integration Cell (CIC) will now be able to share and receive information at the top secret security clearance level for the service’s space domain awareness (SDA) and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions, according to officials. With the addition of five new CIC members, a total of 15 vendors are now part of the effort. Started as a pilot in 2015, CIC allows companies that have existing contracts with the U.S. government to receive top secret security clearance and insight into the Space Force’s current operations and planning. Along with the new SDA and ISR mission areas, the effort has previously focused on satellite communications and imagery. A key benefit to the program is back-and-forth information sharing between the service and vendors already providing capabilities for CIC’s mission areas, Lt. Gen.
