Thanks to the Network Automation Forum and Enterprise Infrastructure Acceleration (EIA), Lucas Boyd, Mike Lester, and I will be hosting a Templating Workshop at AutoCon2 in Denver. With so many excellent Templating resources out there, why would we do this? Well, we want to build on those excellent resources and showcase how useful Jinja2 templating can be across many typical network engineering and IT activities. We have about 10 "mini projects" to illustrate different activities where templating can be powerful. Network configurations to be sure but also current state "recon", detailed procedures, statements of work, and more! We will be working with local data as well as data extracted from APIs. In fact we will be using SuzieQ a bit "off label" as we will be using its ExternalDB function to store design/intent data. More k8s this morning. I love working locally with the Minikube project. Makes it easy to test things out without having to incur cloud charges with EKS. Why am I investing so much time right now into k8s if I'm such a fan of #serverless? Simple. Computing is all about solving problems for customers. And k8s solves problems for customers in a slightly different way with a different toolkit. The existence of k8s doesn't invalidate Lambda Functions as a valid compute model. It actually VALIDATES Lambda. As builders, are job is to help our partners on the business side of the equation make the best choices based upon our needs. I'll leave you with this. Knowledge gathering never stops. Be warned before entering the technology space. Moving forward is a mindset

Ethernet for AI backend network started with RoCEv2 a while back and the industry is eagerly waiting for Ultra Ethernet. For those who are interested, congestion management challenges are well documented for RoCEv2. UltraE will have more comprehensive congestion management and can scale to much larger clusters

James and I made a video recently showing seamless Peplink hardware failover (Pull power on primary router and secondary takes over in the blink of an eye). We think this is the way hardware redundancy should be configured in tele-operated and autonomous vehicles because the primary router can use and bond all the connectivity on the secondary making best use of both devices in the default state.
