I’d consider these 3 of the biggest mistakes we made when putting on the conference. 1️⃣ Payment Processing 

We didn’t put enough time into researching the right ray to collect payments. We went with what the developer selected and paid a fair amount to have it configured. 

We launched and there was no coupon/discount code capabilities. 

We went with it. After a while, we found the ideal solution and I spent a couple hours on a Saturday configuring it and installing it. 

 2️⃣ Not Enough Content 

I took maybe 5 photos myself. I asked my brother in-law to do too much, like running the slides, music, and the photos. 

In hindsight we should had one person dedicated to pictures and one person dedicated to video. 

Should have had a podcast booth too! 

 3️⃣ Promotion 

We talked to someone that has ran a few conferences. He asked how many times we were promoting it per week. 

When I told him, he said “that’s cute.” 

In addition to that we weren’t running FB ads. 

We would have personally promoted it more often along side cranking up the FB ads right out of the gate. Overall, it went well. Lots of small things to dial in and grateful for the invaluable lessons learned. What’s your best tip for people hosting conferences?

Newly Issued Stock: Issuing new shares of ATD Homes LLC stock ensures that employees and family members have a stake without depleting existing ownership. 2.
