How can you create urgency without being pushy?
In my experience, understanding pain is only half the equation. Everyone has it and in many cases it has existed for awhile. Often the prospect has become numb to it and learned to accept. The key is to understand what’s changed to make solving now matter? Examples could include a problem recently called out on an earnings call. Perhaps there is a new leader in place that is measuring this challenge and committed to fixing. It could also be something that is now starting to cause problems for other parts of the business. Understanding what’s changed will help you understand “why now? Without it, there’s a lot more work to assess if there is a real deal.
