I Choose Life: Embracing Life and Vitality Within with Confidence Proverbs 18:21 says, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. Life is a remarkable journey, filled with moments of pure joy, heart-wrenching sorrow, incredible growth, and valuable learning experiences. In the face of challenges and uncertainties, there lies a profound choice: to embrace life with all its complexities or to succumb to the void that is death. I choose life and reject death; I am committed to living purposefully. The Significance of Life Life is more than just existing. It's a journey filled with potential and opportunities. Every day offers a fresh canvas for us to paint our experiences, dreams, and aspirations. The immeasurable value of life lies in our ability to love, create, and connect with others. By choosing life, we acknowledge the significance of our presence and the impact we can have on the world around us. Embracing Challenges Choosing life does not mean ignoring the difficulties and pain that come with it. Instead of avoiding challenges, we should embrace them and acknowledge that they are essential for our personal growth. Every obstacle we overcome strengthens our resilience and enriches our experience. Discovering our true strength and courage often happens when we face difficult times. The Power of Perspective Our reality is shaped by our perspective. By choosing to see life as a journey worth taking, we empower ourselves to find meaning and purpose in even the smallest of moments. Gratitude becomes a guiding principle, allowing us to appreciate the beauty in everyday experiences. Life offers countless opportunities for us to savour. Cultivating Positivity Embracing a positive mindset is the key to unlocking a truly fulfilling life. Creating a positive environment within ourselves and around us, through nurturing relationships, uplifting surroundings, and empowering self-talk, lays the foundation for a joyful and fulfilling life. It's about focusing on what we can control, letting go of what we cannot, and choosing to see the good in ourselves and others. The Legacy of Life: Embracing the Power of Living When we choose life, we also choose to leave a legacy. Our actions, words, and deeds ripple outward, affecting those around us in ways we may never fully realize inspiring others to do the same. Each of us has the power to make a difference, no matter how small it may seem. Conclusion Choosing life is a conscious decision to embrace all that it has to offer. It is a commitment to live fully, to face challenges with courage, and to cultivate a positive and meaningful existence. Death may be an inevitable part of the human experience, but it does not define us. What defines us is how we choose to live. Today, and every day, I choose life. For in life, I find purpose, joy, and the boundless potential to become the best version of myself.

All Praise and Glory to our Father in Heaven, Thank you for his son Jesus, Amen BLESSING HAPPY SUNDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER 2024 “TRUSTING GOD IN DIFFICULT TIMES” TODAY’S SCRIPTURE 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17-18 TODAY’S WORD How do you trust God in difficult times? How, when everything is falling apart around you, can you know that God has you? Trusting God is not about ignoring your feelings or reality. It is not pretending that everything is OK when it is not. Trusting God is living a life of belief in, and obedience to, God, even when it is difficult. Just like anything else in life that you do not know how to do, you practice, practice, practice…and you practice again. And the way to do that is by building a relationship with God because there is a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. So how do you get to know God? This is not as hard as you might think. When you meet someone new, you start hanging out with the person, having conversations, and listening to what he/she has to say. The same goes with God. You spend time getting to know the character of God, having conversations with Him, reading His Word, and accepting in faith the promises He has for you. So let us break down a couple of easy ways to forge a relationship with God and learn how to keep your faith in Him when everything around you seems to be falling apart. Today’s Scripture, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, says, “Pray without ceasing.”  Spending time communicating with God does not have to be rehearsed or elaborate. It simply means having a conversation with Him. Also in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Today’s Scripture, it says, “Be thankful in all circumstances,”  God does not expect you to thank Him FOR the challenges you go through, but rather He wants you to thank Him IN the difficult times. When you give thanks to God in difficult times, it helps you look for His Blessings during your challenges. Thankfulness takes the focus off your challenges, by putting the focus on the Blessings He is providing along the way. You begin to see that although your struggles are hard, there’s still a lot to be thankful for. When you learn to keep faith in God in the difficult times, it shows others His grace and mercy — and since your ultimate calling is to make Him known and bring Him glory, you can use your dark times, to point others to Him. PRAYER FOR TODAY “Father God, I thank You that You are the God of the impossible. You are mighty, powerful, and true. You can do anything. I trust in Your ability and not my own. Teach me to see difficulties in my life from Your perspective. Help me to focus on You and Your power and to carefully read, trust, and obey Your Word. Today I bring before You this difficulty in my life [*Name a hard situation you are now facing*]. I feel a change coming something new in the air Knowing your power! Ephesians 1:7 New International Version (NIV) 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace This is one jam-packed incredibly powerful little verse. We don't even realize the power of it because we don't look at it that much. Where does your power come from? Is it for the Persona you've created? Is it from the body you've worked so hard on? Is it from your talents, your riches, your houses and lands? It's funny how the things we think that can make us so happy, often don't when we achieved them. So where is your power? Bodies can get sick lose their Aesthetics and people can die, houses can burn, diseases can take over our minds so that we lose knowledge, everything is temporal but this one thing. This thing is sought at such a great price that people don't even know it's there. Maybe because in reality it is so simple it's so hard to do. We want instant gratification instant Glory instant Fame and yet what do those things really mean? when you're sitting in a doctor's office and you've been told you have one month to live how important is your houses and lands how important is your body, how is important is it that you have great knowledge and degrees? In the grand scheme of things it's temporal and will all pass away. Only one life twill soon be past only What's Done For Christ will last! One day all the great buildings named after great men like Carnegie and Rockefeller will crumble. Majority of people don't know why they are named that way now other than they were rich men. Yet for 2,000 years or longer people have known who Jesus Christ is and some have been able to wade through the rhetoric that we attached to his name and find the truth. You see our power does not come from a gold cross, it does not come from a Faraway God, it's much deeper than that. Blood was shed for your Redemption. Our power is in the blood that was shed on the cross and the Forgiveness of sins and for his Immaculate amazing incredible Grace. But you have to do one thing you have to choose it. Who do you choose? Then no half-hearted attempt if you choose him give it your all!
