I’ve got a friend who sold 2 biz’s for $1-2million each Here are the 5 things he taught me: - You don’t need to be the best to sell for $1-$2mil - You just need a big TAM and carve out your slice - Pick niches that aren’t seasonal - Pick a unique value prop different than everyone else - It’s easier to sell a biz for $2mil then for $10mil. His goal is to sell 1 every 2 years. The point of this? It’s always good to know how others are playing the game.

I sold 7 spots in 7 days for a program that didn't exist yet. The strategy is simple: → 2 emails to my list (289 subscribers) → 3 LinkedIn posts with CTAs → 100 DMs I hired Jacob Pegs for a 1 hour call. I told him my mission was to create and sell out my group with 1 hour of his help. He said, "I would extend the deadline." All 7 people made their deposit in the pre-sale. For years I thought, "I wouldn't join a group, so why would I have one?" Talk about mindset - I needed my eyes opened! This experience did that for me. Today we begin Call 1 with the group! Amazon spends $45 Million a month in Google Ads but laundromat owners tell me they don't work... 🤣 Here's why you may be right that they won't work for you... 👇👇 1.) You have a poor landing page! Customers can click on GA all day long and if they land on a terrible page, they'll never convert. 🤷‍♂️ 2.) Your CTA or offer stinks. 🦨 When a customer chooses to use you for the first time, they're taking a chance. Give them an incentive to "take a chance" then work hard to EARN their trust. 3.) You're impatient! Google Ads have worked well for us for YEARS NOW but you must be patient. Running GA for a few months, then exclaiming they "don't work" screams to me that you have no idea what is happening. 😮 4.) Running paid ads without retargeting is not cost effective long term. Run Google Ads, then retarget them on social media if they don't convert at first. Then measure total conversions, not just round one. 🤔 5.) You MUST have a great team, and service that is very consistent because the value is in the lifetime value of the customer. If you convert them, but can't keep them, you're destined for failure. Every time I see a startup with bad—or worse, no—social content it hurts me. Social is one of the best ways to get distribution. But most companies just go through the motions...and their content shows it. So here are 3 startups that *actually* get social content (bookmark this for inspiration): 1) Perplexity—I love the visuals they use in their content. I wish I was a design guy so I could tell you *why* they work so well. Lol. But they do. 2) RB2B / Adam Robinson—the poster child for executing founder-led content to perfection. 3) Ramp—I'm a fan of how they balance educating their audience with tasteful, social-native memes and humor. Every business should have a YouTube channel. If not, you're missing out on $1,000,000+ per year in revenue. Here's why: Organic marketing and trust are huge drivers of business growth. A lot of business owners neglect building their social media presence - and most don't build a YouTube channel because historically it's been very tough to produce long form videos. But what they don't realize is that long form videos are the best way to get new clients, build trust, and offer value. This has been my business model for the last 5 years. So here's what you should do (if you haven't already): 1. Create a YouTube channel that educates potential clients of your business 2. Produce consistent videos (usually how to, tutorial topics that are SEO specific) 3. Have a call to action leading people to a free PDF or lead magnet. 4. Get people on calls 5. Do this for 6+ months It's easier said than done. But this has helped my company Paired grow significantly. And the good news is that with AI tools and overseas talent, it costs a fraction of what it used to just a couple years ago. So really, no excuses! I'll do another post about my tech stack, but truth is payroll is the most expensive component of this. So, optimizing your media team with overseas talent is the best thing you can do. I now have around 45 people on my media team and this would be impossible if I were hiring in the states. Feel free to comment any questions you have. And PLEASE - whether or not you use Paired for your hiring needs - start finding overseas team members! You won't regret it.

1. Niche down, BUT don’t let it hold you back. If going TOO specific is blocking you, don’t be afraid to go broad. It’ll work itself out. 2. Master ONE social media platform + build an email list, blog, OR podcast before expanding. Depth > breadth. 3. Create a product suite (value ladder) that takes your ideal clients through a journey and solves their problems exceptionally well. This should guide your audience from free content to high-ticket offers. 4. Use your ideal clients’ desires to fuel your content creation, rather than their pain points. 5. Plan your content in a way that works for you. 6. Post as often as feels good for you. Trying to post everyday when you physically can’t is the fastest way to burnout. 7. Show up consistently! If you can only post three times a week, post the same three days and times every single week!! 8. Implement a daily 10-minute high-impact content strategy. 9. Focus on building genuine relationships, not just followers. 10. Prioritize client results over vanity metrics. Consistency is key. Stick to your strategy for at least 6 months before making major changes. Here's a secret: The best ideas don't cost much.  It's easy to get caught up in seeing big brands do big things with big money and feelings like you can't compete with budgets like that.  You're right. But while that company might have a ton of dough for execution, the pearl of an idea that made their content impactful didn't cost a thing.  In this marketplace, we undervalue scrappiness. But ask any entrepreneur and they'll tell you it's the best quality to have, regardless of dollar amount.
