Health coach, nutritionist, and dietitian are titles that are often used interchangeably. While they do have some slight overlap, they are three very distinct roles. Each of these providers has a goal of improving a client’s health, but the approach or specialization varies. 🥗 To determine which type of professional is right for you, consider your individual needs and goals. If you’re looking for overall support in reaching your health and wellness goals, a health coach is your best option. If you’re looking for general nutrition advice and guidance, a nutritionist may be a good fit. If you have a chronic condition that requires specialized medical nutrition therapy or need personalized nutrition advice, you may want to consider consultation with an RDN or a CNS with relevant expertise. In addition, health coaches can collaborate and work with nutritionists and dietitians to ensure the highest quality care. There is room for all professionals in this space!
