The country is at a point of anxiety in dealing with mass shootings/active shooters. As much as there have been procedures put in place and movement to combat mental health issues we still see to not be able to prevent these incidences. We can argue that because these incidences are so unpredictable it is extremely difficult to know when and where the next will occur. Now is the time to take actions and try to assist in this matter. IN recent years we have seen that out educational institutions have been targets for these incidents and something needs to be done and quickly. This came the birth of The Knight’s Watch, a geosocial application that assist users in getting to a destination safely and emergency response. The Watch allows users to create a Watch list (friends, family, emergency responders, dispatchers etc.) that will instantly be notification of its activation and relay data (Location, emergency) as well as create a message capability to the user and Watchers from anywhere. What this does is create a stealth response in situations such as an active shooter, as well as connects a user in danger to authorities and loved ones in real time. The Knight’s Watch aims to integrate directly into educational institutions already established emergency system to allow a more efficient response to an emergency or multiple users in danger. Knowing the location and details of a user(s) in danger allows authorities to response quickly and prevent causalities.

Twenty years ago, I was studying media production at Quinnipiac University, spending countless hours digitizing Mini DV tapes to edit videos with emerging software. At the time, this technological leap seemed magical. I no longer needed to shoot scenes perfectly and in chronological order, a necessity when making movies with our mom’s VHS camcorder alongside my brother and sister. We didn’t have access to film cameras or knowledge of manually splicing footage, so this was a revolutionary change. The future had arrived. Fast forward to 2024–see what I did there?— and we now have the ability to generate videos instantly without filming anything at all. Just as utilizing nonlinear editing software once felt magical, AI-generated video feels like a dream realized. That being said, I can’t help but feel uneasy about the impact on future generations who will (maybe not?) work in this field. Undoubtedly, we’ll see some of the most exceptional content ever produced, at virtually no monetary cost. But at what cost to creativity and human development? Trying and failing has always been a crucial part of pursuing success. What happens when success is guaranteed? Why try at all? Perhaps I’m being too philosophical, or even too shortsighted. What do you all think?

I feel the need to clarify a couple things about the project that I am currently working on. (written without AI) 1. At this stage in the game REIT DAO is a project, but that doesn't mean I get to slack off. We will eventually incorporate in Delaware, but for now the focus is to build a great product that people will like, and maybe love. 2. THE IDEA may sound very bad to most people, but what seemed like bad ideas turned out to become great companies, for example: Airbnb, Uber, etc. The idea is simple, real world assets are exactly that, REAL. Someone owns them. Help everyone and anyone to tokenize them so that they can sell/trade them in a free market. Make the product simple to use, make it inclusive, and make it free. 3. I am THE TARGET USER of the product. In most cases everyone is a target user, individuals and businesses alike. 4. A tokenization platform may sound like something anyone can copy and build, but the reality is that this is very hard to do in the current regulatory environment. Most importantly, tokenization is NOT crypto. Tokenization IS A MAJOR TECHNOLOGY SHIFT just starting that most people haven't realized is happening. 5. I believe in this idea so much that I have spent the last two+ years making the idea a reality, to my own detriment, detaching from unsporting family members, and spending countless hours focused on building and learning. It's a lonely road, but it is well worth it. 6. The product is simple: but for now we will keep the 'how we do it' a trade secret until we launch the first iteration. If you read the white paper, you should have a good idea. 7. I could have launched "a product" sooner, but I didn't think that launching the bear minimum would have been in the best interest of the intended users of the product. Delaying the the product launch was not so much about product quality, as it was about the product's functionality. I believe a great product sells itself. It will attracting all type of users. With a product like this one, you can't do things that don't scale. Unit economics may seem bad in the beginning, but as the product scales "naturally," unit economics will change dramatically. The ability to scale out of the box is what will make this product great. 8. My focus is to build a great product and I am being relentless in the pursuit of doing just that. HARSH REALITY, a solo founder can't do it all by themselves. They need help in the areas where they lack knowledge or expertise. As for myself, I need help putting the final pieces together for the initial product launch and the money (seed funds) to pay for the necessary cloud services required to maintain the product for at least one cycle. (Cloud services is part of the reason I am doing a deep dive into AWS certifications.) 9. I am not trying to do everything, but I am trying to be knowledgeable about every aspect of the product that I am building and the services the company will eventually be offering.
