Monitoring consumer feedback and "citing change in odor & in rare cases, temporary irritation," they initiated the recall after determining that various production batches at their third-party manufacturer were contaminated with the bacterium P. Cosmetic Industry Faces Significant Non-Compliance Under New FDA Regulations Registrar Corp analyzed companies selling imported cosmetics to U.S. top 25 retailers including grocery stores, pharmacy chains, department stores, and general merchandise chains. While progress has been made, of the top 25 retailers selling cosmetics, 48% of imported cosmetics companies are not FDA MoCRA compliant. Often in the cosmetics industry we're working with material that post very low risk, but I have seen this lead to laxity in lab safety. Lab safety is everyone's responsibility.
