    WPSP is a global women’s leadership initiative launched by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in partnership with the U.S. Department of State and five leading women’s colleges.

    Hand selected by Dell’s Global Social Training and Activation Team to mentor an elite group of Social Media Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Coach and work closely with SMEs to align them with their core business objectives. Guide SMEs toward utilization of key social platforms that enable them to manage key influencer/customer relationships, share their expertise in relevant online communities to impact Dell’s overall credibility, share of voice, search engine rankings and online revenue.

    SMaC-U’s new Social SME program is designed to identify, train and support internal team members to become active social thought leaders, manage key influencer/customer relationships, and thrive in relevant online communities around key Enterprise solutions. We believe their actions will have impact on Dell’s overall credibility, share of voice, search engine rankings and online revenue. Early results show that the program is already having a positive impact on our Cloud Computing and Windows 8 share of voice and search engine optimization.

    Since October, 150 SMEs have been on-boarded into the program where they receive help establishing a fantastic Dell social media presence online, recommendations on which external thought leaders and influencers to connect with, tool training and tips to ensure they can effectively represent Dell and a scorecard to help measure their performance and impact to Dell.
