Y-12ers recently participated in a golf tournament to raise over $6,000 for the Angel Tree project. It’s always good to gather outside of work for fun and fundraising! #CNSCares 

Did you know? The Uranium Processing Facility Project had to change the landscape of Y-12 to later change the skyline. Bear Creek Road, the site’s main thoroughfare, was relocated during the Site Readiness Subproject to make way for construction of the project. #BuildingUPF #ThrowbackThursday

The #Y12Intern group completed their summer program with a hands-on experience at the Oak Ridge Enhanced Technology and Training Center. At ORETTC, they were able to see how new technology is providing safe, virtual training options for Y-12ers and other CNS customers.

X-rays are used to ensure the nuclear stockpile will be ready if needed. We take snapshots during experiments and to ensure that parts are able to withstand weapon-like conditions. Happy #NationalInternDay! We celebrate our 2025 interns who contributed to the mission of Y-12 over their 10 weeks on-site. This summer, Y-12 hosted 48 interns from 20 different universities across the country. We look forward to all they will do in the future. #Y12Interns

Thanks to these amazing Y-12ers, local students will be ready to go back to school! These groups spent time volunteering with United Way of Anderson, Campbell, Morgan and Scott Counties and United Way of Greater Knoxville to pack backpacks with schools supplies for ADFAC and organizing/cleaning a clothing closet and food panty for Beaumont Magnet Academy. #MyY12

Thanks to Y-12 employees working without an injury for 30 days, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was presented $500 in July. When the site goes 30 days without incurring an injury, one of the labor unions choses a non-profit to receive the donation. Members of the International Guards Union of America chose LLS as the recipient. IGUA members along with CNS’s Tony Boser and Gene Sievers presented Shelby Lanpheare of LLS the check. #CNSCares
