Last week, at our annual Responsible Supply Chain Summit in San Francisco, CA, we hosted a community of impact investors, corporations, startups, advocates, and philanthropies driving change in this space to discuss the transformation of supply chains to be responsible, sustainable, and inclusive.
We highlighted scalable solutions that:
💡 Leverage AI and technology as a force for good to improve outcomes for marginalized workers and communities
🏛️ Enable meaningful compliance with (and beyond) new legislation in the EU and US
💸 Improve the financial circumstances of workers in the formal and informal economy
♻️ Lead to the integration of human rights and equity in the transition to a more just, clean energy economy
We also heard from journalists reporting on the front lines of global labor rights and discussed the role of journalism, NGOs, and auditors in driving greater accountability.
Most importantly, we heard from startups in our portfolio on the diverse approaches they are taking to improve worker well-being, track companies’ sustainability performance, assess risk in supply chains, and reduce harm to workers in the global economy.
We are incredibly grateful to our LPs and portfolio companies for their valuable contributions to this conversation, and our WCF team who made this event possible.
