We're excited to announce Default's new inbound orchestration platform and an additional $4m in funding led by 8VC. The GTM landscape has changed more in the last five years than in the previous two decades. Teams can no longer afford bloated tech stacks, inefficient workflows, and fragmented data. Winning in this new era requires AI-driven automation, seamless data orchestration, and intelligent routing. We started Default with the vision of building the best platform for revenue teams to orchestrate their inbound workflows, from lead qualification and scheduling to routing and enrichment. Since our public launch a little over a year ago, we've gone from a handful of early customers and design partners to hundreds of fast-growing companies like Hex, OpenPhone, Bland, and lemlist who automate inbound, outbound, and operations workflows with Default. Today’s launch of Default 2.0 unlocks endless new capabilities via website intent and session tracking, AI routing agents, waterfall enrichment, and much more. Here are some of the new features we’re launching today: 1. Website intent that tracks and reveals target accounts who are browsing your site so you route qualified prospects to the right rep at the right time. 2. An AI agent built for lead and account routing, complete with AI territory and segment management. 3. Real-time waterfall enrichment with multiple data providers and AI research agents. 4. A sleek new scheduling experience designed to increase lead-to-meeting conversion rates for inbound and outbound scheduling workflows. We’ve come a long way since we started, and we’re incredibly grateful for our incredible customers and partners who we get to serve, learn from, and work with every day — we wouldn’t be here without you all. You can read more about Default and this launch in the blog post below (link in comments).

Last week, we heard from a customer: "We're capturing all these intent signals but honestly... we're drowning in data and still missing opportunities." Sound familiar? Here's the truth: Most companies are sitting on a goldmine of intent data but struggling to turn it into revenue. They're either: • Treating all signals equally (spoiler: they're not) • Missing critical buying moments • Manually routing leads (and burning precious hours) • Or worse... over-automating and losing human touch Tomorrow at 1 PM EST, two of our very own, Caitlyn Vaughn & Stan Rymkiewicz are joining Matthew Volm, the CEO at RevOps Co-op to break down exactly how we built an intent-driven revenue engine that helped us 10x last year. We're cutting through the noise to show you: → 27 intent signals that actually matter (and which ones to ignore) → The "Human vs Machine" framework for automation → Real examples of routing strategies that are working RIGHT NOW → What that random website visit really means (and when to act on it) No fluff. No theory. Just battle-tested strategies you can implement next week. If you're tired of watching hot leads slip through the cracks while your team chases cold ones, this is your session. Incredibly excited for this webinar with Default's very own Caitlyn Vaughn and Matthew Volm of RevOps Co-op on how to route intent signals. Caitlyn and Matt will be doing a deep-dive on topics like: 🔎 What intent signals actually tell you (and what they don’t) 🤖 Where automation makes sense—and where humans should step in 📍 How to route leads based on intent the right way And walk through a few specific examples, including: 1️⃣ Routing accounts based on visitors to your website 2️⃣ Routing accounts based on social activity 3️⃣ Routing accounts based on ad engagements RSVP here 👇

If I were growing again Default from $0 ARR, here are 8 things I would do differently: We grew over 100x since launching 15 months ago. We made a great process and a ton of mistakes. Knowing what I know now, I would do things differently. 1. WEBSITE I wish we had invested more into our website sooner. We stuck too long with a website that was too simple because we're building a brand new one with 10 product pages and 10 solution pages. I wish we had made faster changes as the website is the easiest way to say to customers, "this company is big enough for me." 2. TACTICS The thing is, every tactic works. You have to make it work. I used to say: "This week, I'm testing cold email" — and I was unhappy with the results I was getting. There is a huge difference between starting small and experimenting. Sooner or later, every company figures out LinkedIn ads; I just wish I had treated this with more seriousness than with a testing mindset. 3. LINKEDIN I wish I had started posting on LinkedIn way sooner. If I had to pick, this is probably my biggest regret. The value of a person's profile promoting a brand to ICPs is an ultimate growth hack. Customers and prospects will see your post, even though they're not "liking it" — it's still great marketing. 4. QUALITY Quality over quantity. I wish we had spent more time on some bigger campaigns instead of rushing them because we already had a new one planned. Yes, you need to ship as much as possible — but I know we botched a few things only for the sake of speed. I wish we had invested $100,000 in high-value first-party content. 5. INFLUENCERS I wish we had started testing and experimenting with B2B influencers way sooner. I thought this was more of a brand play — and I was wrong. People actually convert. I wish we had started doing these tactics sooner, and I wish we had put more emphasis on us becoming micro-influencers in our space. 6. PARTNERSHIPS I wish we had started building out relationships with partners way sooner. Not too soon, because then no one would take it seriously, but just getting on their radar would have been so helpful. 7. CASE STUDIES I wish we had invested more in case studies. I wrote all the case studies, and now I think they are not good. Again, it's not about how many we have but how impactful they are. We transformed so many inbound motions for our customers, yet our case studies don't show the impact. It was such a rookie mistake. 8. ADVISORS A great hands-on marketing advisor is a game-changer for speed. They can help you start 10x faster because they've already made the mistakes you're about to make. One great advisor is worth 100x their compensation. I wish I had started relying on them sooner, and I wish I had followed their advice the first time. Lesson for me: when someone's an expert — just listen. You can always test your own approach later. I can't go back in time. If I did, we would have probably doubled our growth.

Excited to kick off this Friday morning with our third (and final) product update this week at Default. Today, we're launching the Default Field Manager. Default is one of very few tools in the GTM stack with deep integrations with tools in multiple categories: CRM, MAP, sales engagement platforms, enrichment, and more. Our customers see most of the value of these integrations in our Workflow Builder, which allows them to build powerful, scalable workflows on a visual, drag-and-drop canvas. But managing things like field mappings, references, and more makes building more workflows (and thus, getting more value out of Default Workflows) hard for most of our customers. Default's new Field Manager allows you to map attributes on People or Company objects in Default to the corresponding fields on objects across tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, and more. Now live for all Default customers!

I've been super productive in my unemployment. Not only did I teach at least a dozen kids what it's like to play fortnite against someone who grew up in CoD lobbies, but I built arguably the most efficient inbound lead routing workflow that there's ever been. I'm not sure why everyone's not using this. If you want the template, comment, "If I come inbound to Default it should be attributed to this video." #DefaultPartner
