With support from our fans and restaurant teams, we have raised a total of more than $23 million over the last year to help find safe, loving and permanent homes for children waiting in foster care through fundraising programs like “Make A Biggie Difference,” coin canister collection, Boo!   • Congratulations to Wendy’s franchisee, NX de Mexico, on your new restaurant in Pedro Escobedo, Mexico! At the grand opening, eager fans were entertained by a local mariachi band as they lined up to taste our fresh, famous food. In addition, one lucky fan was awarded free Baconator cheeseburgers for an entire year! Mexico is at the center of the brand’s expansion across Latin America.   • "I celebrated 25 years with Wendy’s in February! The cool part is that I started my career working as a crew person at 17 years old in Perrysburg, Ohio. In my current role as Director of Build-to-Suit Operations, I help oversee the development of new restaurants and then lead the operations of those restaurants once they open. At Wendy’s, we make our customers a promise: Fresh, Famous Food… Made Right… for You! For me, 'Made Right' means providing a consistently excellent experience to every customer at every visit. That’s why I love being in a new restaurant and setting the 'Made Right' foundation from the start. I help with (and watch) the growth of the crew and restaurant managers from their first day, through training and simulations, to opening day and beyond. There’s nothing better than being able to recognize the teams who make their restaurants shine. Exceptional restaurant teams create exceptional customer experiences! Earlier this month, we welcomed 30 new hires from around the globe to the Restaurant Support Center in Dublin, OH for our Welcome to Wendy’s onboarding event.    Over the course of two days, new team members had the chance to network with leadership, connect with colleagues across different business functions, and even step into the Innovation Kitchen to make their own Dave’s Single—because what better way to learn about Wendy’s than by experiencing it firsthand?    We also kicked off our first People Leader Essentials training session of the year. This program equips managers with the tools and behaviors they need to build, develop, and support their teams—reinforcing our commitment to strong leadership at every level.
