It was great to have Phil Learney join us because it was actually Phil's book that I was reading 11 years ago which had a chapter on nutrition for PCOS. Simultaneously I'd just started working with 1 of my first ever clients, she mentioned she had PCOS as a passing comment, not in relation to what we were doing but for the hirsutism When I sent her a picture of the chapter asking was this the condition she had, a week or so later Her reply was “ OMG are you looking into this for me” I was honest and said it was a coincidence, I didn’t know there were specific nutrition considerations for PCOS “ That would have won you some serious brownie points but I appreciate the honesty” It was in the moment I vowed to never have a female client again tell me a condition she was experiencing and not be able to facilitate a conversation with them about it or not be able to take the condition into account with my coaching So, thank you PhIl (+Emily) for the trajectory you set I had no idea where it would lead by 11 years later I’m really glad I stayed curious and always tried to do right by my female clients by learning everything I could to make them feel safe, supported and get effective results Because it’s led to building Nexus with Dr Kerry, Holly, Clare, Kishan, Jagdeep Singh, PhD, Stutii, Abhishek, Mayank, Izzy It’s always a privilege to have you at these events Phil!
