Please join us next Thursday, March 6th to hear from Michael Cupps the author of Time Bandit. This discussion will explore the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say "no" to distractions or non-essential tasks to focus on meaningful pursuits. “As a tech leader and cancer survivor, I understand the importance of time—and how to use it wisely. I help professionals and leaders cut through the noise, focus on priorities, and build habits that create lasting impact. With Time Bandit, I combine proven priority management strategies with habit formation to help you work smarter, not harder. I’ve coached businesses to improve productivity and unlock potential, whether through smarter planning or AI-powered insights for larger operations teams to unlock true potential and symmetry of resources (onshore, offshore or automations). My journey shaped my approach, and I’m passionate about helping others make the most of every minute,” Michael shares. Thursday, March 6 2:00 – 3:00 pm CST In-Person and Zoom (open to the public) Learn more and register: https://lnkd.in/gpJfXVnv #UNTCOI #UNTLTECH #UNTLING #UNTINFOSCIENCE #UNTIS #UNTDATASCIENCE #UNT #UNTglobal #UNTonline #UNT29 #UNT28 #UNT27 #UNT26 #UNT25 #BeCurious #TimeManagement

If you are a student focusing on digital library topics (or related topics), consider applying for support to attend TCDL this year. This is also an excellent platform for presenting your work (yes, student work and research matter in the context of critical conversations). To sweeten the deal, the folks at TDL are amazing.
Calling all Texas iSchool and Library and Information Science (LIS) students! Apply for FREE registration to #TCDL2025. Don't wait -- only four (4) students will be selected and awarded complimentary registration to the conference. TCDL provides opportunities for professional development and networking within the digital library community in Texas and beyond. Meet and mingle with librarians, archivists, technology staff, vendors, library administrators, and others working in digital libraries from across the state. The Student Scholarship covers the cost of registration only. Recipients are responsible for their own travel and lodging for the conference. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3Qqo2Ea Application deadline: Sunday, March 23 at 11:59 pm CT

If you are interested in AI or Computer Science research and are available for 10 weeks of summer between 10am and 3:30pm for an intensive summer research effort between May 19th to July 25th come join other students for the UNT AI/CS Summer Research program. For accepted students, we will work with you to sign you up for research course credit (e.g. CSCE 5934 for MS students) - the specific course depends on the program you are in. Graduate and undergraduate students are welcome. If taking resource course credit is not an option, do still apply and we will consider exceptions in that case. Approximately 60 students will be working together on a series of projects aimed toward external impact. Students will pick from a curated list of projects on the first day. Projects will either be AI or broadly CS, with potential for significant overlap. See the following webpage for details: https://lnkd.in/gtcVUpiZ Note, the application deadline is March 15th. A key requirement is a resume or CV, so be sure to have that ready when you start the application.
