🇪🇺✨ Last Friday, UniAdrion had the honour to take part in the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Ancona Declaration, which marked the foundation of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII). The celebration brought together representatives of the AII countries, regional organizations, and civil society to reflect on a quarter-century of cooperation and shared vision for peace, stability, and sustainable development in the Adriatic-Ionian area. As the academic network born under the auspices of the AII, UniAdrion remains firmly committed to fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and joint projects among universities in the region, in line with the values of the Ancona Declaration. Here's to the next 25 years of collaboration and regional integration! 🌍📚 #UniAdrion #AII #EUSAIR #AdriaticIonian #RegionalCooperation #HigherEducation #25YearsAnconaDeclaration #WesternBalkans #EUIntegration

🚀 FOODVALUE: Innovation and Research to Enhance Montenegro’s Traditional Fermented Foods 🌿🔬 The FOODVALUE project is a remarkable example of how scientific research and international collaboration can support innovation while preserving cultural and gastronomic heritage. Thanks to the partnership between two universities from the UniAdrion network – the Università Politecnica delle Marche and the University of Donja Gorica – this Italy-Montenegro initiative (2023-2025) is focused on the study and enhancement of traditional fermented foods, such as Njeguški cheese and Sudžuk sausage. By applying advanced microbiological analysis, researchers are identifying unique microbial strains that will help safeguard biodiversity while improving food quality and safety. The project will also foster academic exchanges, knowledge transfer, and stronger cooperation between Italy and Montenegro. Beyond research, FOODVALUE has a tangible impact: it supports local producers, raises awareness on food safety, and promotes innovation in the agri-food sector. 🔗 Learn more and follow the project’s updates here: - Facebook page: @foodvalueproject - Full newsletter (below) - reach out to Dr. Cristiana Garofalo at c.garofalo@staff.univpm.it #UniAdrion #FOODVALUE #Research #Innovation #TraditionalFood #FoodSafety #InternationalCooperation #Sustainability
