Our portfolio company AIRCO is rethinking carbon to produce high-demand, fully-formulated synthetic fuels from captured carbon and hydrogen on-site.  From creating breakthrough vodka to developing sustainable jet fuel, the Brooklyn-based company is proving that carbon can be a resource, not just a byproduct. We are excited to announce Toyota Ventures’ investment in Tereform, which is focused on delivering recycled textiles at near cost parity with virgin, fossil-based materials while cutting overall emissions associated with apparel manufacturing. To bypass roadblocks in traditional textile-to-textile recycling, the company is able to chemically process mixed textiles with minimal prior separation of the materials into individual fabric types, or removal of coatings, dyes, and other contaminants. Our portfolio company Revel secured a $60 million loan from New York’s clean energy investment fund, NY Green Bank, to expand its public fast-charging network in New York City by more than three times. This loan marks NY Green Bank's first investment in EV charging infrastructure. The fund’s support highlights New York's commitment to electric vehicles and signals that debt lenders are starting to view EV charging infrastructure as a promising, repayable investment. Our portfolio comany Yard Stick PBC, in collaboration with the Soil Health Institute, published a study in Geoderma demonstrating how Yard Stick’s spectral probe can precisely measure soil carbon stocks at depths of up to 45 cm (almost 18 inches) in the field. Yard Stick aims to unlock the potential of soils for gigaton-scale carbon sequestration through the company's in situ soil carbon measurement technology.
