We're excited to share Tidelands Health hospitals have once again earned Zero Harm awards from South Carolina Hospital Association for outstanding performance in patient safety! Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital earned multiple Zero Harm awards, which are given to hospitals that record extended periods without preventable hospital-acquired infections in common categories and procedures. Tidelands Health's successful implementation of Epic, an integrated electronic medical record, was part of a panel discussion at the national Becker’s Healthcare annual meeting and conference earlier this month. Will Johnson, the health system’s chief information officer, served as one of four panelists leading a session focused on electronic health records. Earlier this year, Tidelands Health launched Epic, along with the My Tidelands Health app featuring MyChart and related technologies. “With the successful implementation of Epic, our patients benefit from coordinated care and more streamlined access to their medical information at their fingertips.
