The proliferation of metal cards into the mainstream was built on a simple premise. Once you felt a metal card, every plastic card felt cheap and flimsy by comparison. It was similar to the first time I got upgraded to business class on an airplane, it made economy flying soooooo much worse after experiencing an elevated flight service. As more issuers launch cards featuring our authenticate technology, that's the same lightning moment that I hope will happen for users logging in to a new customer service session. "Hi Adam, Thank you for calling Acme Bank. Thanks for using our tap to authenticate feature, How can I help you?" Immediate help. Once the first customers experience it, they will never want to go back to knowledge based authentication after holding for an operator. https://lnkd.in/ePczP3QA

What do I love about Arculus? So so much. It's been a amazing to build something new and different (a payment card, cold storage wallet, and security credential in a single product) It's been the startup experience without having to fight VC's for money and answer 101 level questions. It's being able to take assets from the core company that I helped build and deploy them into new technologies. It's having the credentials of an amazing brand like Composecure validate the enterprise grade nature of what we're building. It's the process of building something from nothing. Seeing it go from a napkin to being actively deployed in Fortune 50 companies. It's seeing the products gaining recognition in a meaningful way, like the first time people saw the platinum card or black card in the field. It's the potential to have Arculus technology in millions of people's pockets, securing that many people, solving real and challenging problems, and keeping people safe. That's meaningful to me.

Yes, hardware keys are better and more secure. Even better? A better hardware key that doesn't require cables or charging and doesn't require customers to carry around another device. Arculus Authenticate allows banks to make the cards they already give to customers act as secure hardware authentication devices. https://lnkd.in/eTxwdcVU

Everyone thinks of Composecure as the metal card company. But that's the tip of the iceberg of what we’ve become. As much as it pains me to use such a tired analogy, let's use the iPhone. ◼️ It’s a phone, it’s a music player, it’s an internet communication device. ◼️ It’s a phone, it’s a music player, it’s an internet communication device. ◼️ It’s a phone, it’s a music player, it’s an internet communication device. No, not 3 separate products, one product that does everything. But it did not end there. It’s an app marketplace, it’s a cloud storage medium, it’s a flashlight, etc… See where I’m going? A phone isn’t just a phone any more. It’s just the external form factor for all these things we use daily. Composecure’s version: A card isn’t just a card any more. It’s a payment card, it’s a cold storage wallet, it’s an encrypted security key, it’s a fashion statement, it's a marketing tool, it’s an instant call center validation device. OK, so now you’re saying, WTF is this dude talking about? I’ll explain. 💳 Embedded in the card, users can seamless swap between Web 2 and Web 3 payment rails 💳 Embedded in the card, is a full cold storage wallet for digital assets with 3 factor authentication 💳 Embedded in the card is an encrypted security key, with a code base that allows the user to tap the card to back of their phone to validate their identity before a high risk risk transaction 💳 We pushed the bounds of material science, now making cards in aircraft aluminum, stainless steel, 24 carat gold, and gorilla glass (used by cards like Amex Gold, Platinum, and Black, Chase Sapphire, Brex, and Robinhood) 💳 Embedded in the chip, any user can call their bank’s call center and instantly verify with a card tap to the back of their phone ($ saved in customer service agent time on every call). What else can a card be? That’s what Product & Engineering at Composecure means to me.
