We celebrate the impact we made together in 2024 - serving more women, welcoming more volunteers, and receiving greater community support. Thanks to your support, we raised wages for our shelter staff, celebrated 15 years of service, and successfully wrapped up our 2021 strategic plan, The Sophia Way Forward. The National Women’s History Project has declared the theme of Women’s History Month 2025 as “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations” – a theme that perfectly reflects the essence of The Sophia Way. Every day, we witness the power of mentorship, leadership, and education. This Women's History Month, especially today on International Women's Day, we celebrate the incredible women who have shaped and sustained The Sophia Way. From our visionary founder, Helen Leuzzi, to the staff, volunteers, donors, and resilient women we serve, each has played a vital role in building a community of support and hope.
