  • On April 7th, we celebrated Charlotte Figi Day — a powerful reminder of how one little girl’s story, and her mother’s relentless fight, helped bring CBD into the spotlight and change countless lives. Now, we’re amplifying more voices: real people whose lives have been changed by CBD and who’ve found their way back to health. • By the time she was six years old, Charlotte Figi was experiencing more than 300 seizures each week, leaving her unable to speak or walk. But Charlotte's parents refused to give up, even as their daughter entered hospice care, and administered a CBD tincture to Charlotte as a last resort. Within 24 hours, her seizures had stopped; as time went on, Charlotte experienced a significant - and sustained - reduction in seizures, and was able to leave her wheelchair and laugh again. Charlotte's story (and her mother Paige's dedicated advocacy) helped ensure CBD access for millions of people. But today, new legislation is threatening to restrict access to CBD for those, like Charlotte, who depend on it. So we're doing something about it. You can read more of Charlotte's story at: https://lnkd.in/gZFmNtN4 Join us in asking Congress to protect CBD access for the 48 million Charlottes who rely on it at: https://lnkd.in/gSsrhgDS

  • Our very own, and proud of it! Therese Nemer

“There is zero shame in being your own best advocate.” That mindset shapes how Therese Nemer approaches her work every day. As an Accountant with CBDistillery, part of Village Farms US, loyalty and consistency guide her work ethic. She prides herself on maintaining steadiness through pressures and deadlines. Keeping calm and properly managing expectations makes her someone colleagues can rely on, whether things are messy or going as planned. Therese believes loyalty protects a company from repeating past mistakes, and that institutional knowledge matters. The history behind the numbers, and the “why” behind policies, matters, especially when something needs to change or stay the same. To women building their careers, her perspective is practical: document your wins and be proud of them. Set healthy boundaries. And remember to spend time with your family. Kids don’t stay kids, and our parents won’t be around forever. This March, we’re spotlighting the Women of Village Farms and the values that guide how they lead and contribute. More to come. #IWD2026

  • CBDistillery fans (and fans of CBD in general), we need your help! If Congress passes language redefining hemp, it could make most CBD products illegal and effectively end the hemp industry. Let’s join together to protect the more than 300,000 people employed in the industry and the customers who rely on access to hemp-derived CBD! Contact your elected officials today and tell them to VOTE NO on any proposed language to redefine hemp! Visit https://lnkd.in/gSsrhgDS to make your voice heard.

  • Ohio hemp community — your access is under threat. Ohio lawmakers are pushing forward a bill, known as SB 86, which seeks to severely restrict your access to naturally occurring, hemp-derived wellness products that thousands of Ohioans use daily for wellness and relief. At CBDistillery, we’re proud to offer trusted, high-quality products — and we believe you have the right to choose what works best for your body. Let’s stand up for access, transparency, and consumer freedom in the hemp space. Your voice matters. Let’s use it. TAKE ACTION: https://lnkd.in/gd4wB4iz
